Remaining the same =/= making slight changes to fix and/or add things.

Also, informed consumers are a thing? Y'know, people kinda...idk...trust? the company they are buying something from regardless of the fact that they are buying something to get ahead. Trust supersedes making an informed decision.

Are you also saying that no one should trust Supercell to have their best interest at heart?

No doubt, I'm sure most players are not stupid and expect things to change over time to re-balance; as we have witnessed in the past. Hogs slowly got pushed back over a series of update, Valks got a boost etc.

But when the most significant investment in the game gets changed so drastically in just one update, that is when the trust is betrayed.

I'm not surprised one bit there is a lot of anger from the top players, anger far greater than mine as prodiminately a farmer with heroes in the 20s. I've been hit hard, but it's nothing compared to the hit of players who spent more and have even higher level heroes.

Semantics argument won't progress the debate. We all know that as far as the player is concerned, buying gems with the sole intention of converting it to DE with the sole purpose of using that DE to upgrade a hero to level 40 is effectively, buying a level 40 hero.

If SC doesn't see that then they are far more out of touch with players than i expected.

Again if they were informed consumers they would be aware of this real possibility. Not saying people can't be ♥♥♥♥♥♥ about it just that they need to accept it and move on.

Yeah people keep claiming they bought heroes, no such thing happened. They sped up time in the game using gems/tokens. They paid for a temporary advantage over other players and as per the TOS which clearly explains it, the game is subject to change at SC's discretion.

They have clearly explained their position on how gems function and how the game will change in the TOS. Ignorance of any sort is no defense. Again if you are going to spend enough money to miss on something, you should familiarize yourself with what you are agreeing to, luckily for part of this population Apple's policies supersede SC's.:)
