how to find out which spot is the center of the village?

Count squares on the y axis, count squares on the x axis, divide by two.

Place 1 building in the corner, then keep placing buildings against the corner of the previous building.

Method 1) Use army camps
Method 2) Use a ruler !
Note: 3x3 CC can't be center of village, but a 4x4 TH can.

I bother, because I apply the "push back deployment spot" method.
You can see that I try to force deployment spot to the edges.

interesting. so i need to use 4 tower + 1 army camp and i can find my center. by your theory, if i want to place anything other than TH, means i will never get center rite? cos example CC, DE storage these favourites are not same size as TH. am i rite? o.o

The current village size is 40x40 if I am not wrong.
so a building that is odd-number in size(3x3,5x5) can't be center, i.e cc, army camp
But a building that is even-number in size (2x2,4x4) can be center, i.e, builders hut, th, lab.

maths expert please correct me if I am wrong

I made a ruler out of my decorations. The torches mark the center and the flower beds mark various increments:)

ok then i think no point finding center. cos all the good favorite center candidates (CC, Storage, Motar, Wiz, Xbow) are not applicable for center position based on your calculation ( i trust your calculations are correct).
