Th8?

I am thinking of going to town hall 8. I am a town hall level 7 (obviously). My mines and pumps are a bit behind, but the defenses are pretty good. Same for the walls. My barracks's are kinda uneven, but I'm fine with working on that. I want to go to town hall 8 for the dark elixir drill, the 5th archer tower, 3rd wizard tower, and the walls. My only question is, how bad is the loot penalty at th8? Because I really want to go to it, but apparently the loot is terrible if you attack around 900-1200 trophies. Here is my base:

The loot penalty on th8 is 50% on th6 and I think 10% on th7, it doesn't work in trophy ranges. I cannot say much to your base, I'm afraid, because I simply don't know whether this'd be enough for a solid th8, but I think I'd take care of the last cannons and then you're ready to go. But you should be able to do that while the town hall is being upgraded.

Thanks for the help! I will upgrade those cannons and possibly the archer towers a bit more, but I think level 4 mortars and level 3 wizard towers are pretty good for splash :P

You can farm good between silver 1 and crystal 3 with th8, for gold &elix I'd recommend gold 3-2 :) sry can't see DAT pic :/

Ive seen it on these forums countless times and totally agree with the following - upgrade all of your defenses to the max before upgrading your town hall. You can time it out so they all end near each other but there is so much to do at TH8 that you don't want to be behind on anything.

And I try to stay around gold 2-1, so that works out pretty well actually. I want them level 5 troops... Lol

My defenses are almost maxed.

i'd not recommend upgrading at all.
i just got th8 4 days back with a complete maxout.
And yes the loot penalty is pretty visible.
Th7 is really the best th.
But if you really want the drill really bad, maxout your splash defenses and troops atleast.

I can confidently say that the loot is AMAZING at TH 8. Oh no, you can't raid TH 6s anymore? Who cares. I moved on to TH8 when my defenses were maxed and my walls were level 6 and I never had any regrets.

My defenses are not maxed though.
What are the highest level of each defensive building at th7?
