Feeder Independence/Revolution

We have one or two feeders in our clan but every now and then we have some difficulties with a feeder leader.

Some feeder leaders, after some time being at the leadership, start feeling they are the owners of the clan, refuse to go to the main clan and do not want to give the leadership to one of the main leaders or another member.

Have you been through this? How do you handle it?

The only solution we have found is that the leaders of the main clan rotate every season and take the leadership for two weeks. With this, only the most truthful leaders are managing the feeder plus no one becomes too "hungry of power". However, with this solution we lose one of our best players in the main clan for one season.
