==An idea to encourage high level TH (TH8-TH9) players, the loyal customers.==

Hi guys I understand the frustration of farming at TH8-TH9. The loot penalty system is to protect low level TH players, which is considerate and understandable. However the system is really a punishment to high level TH players, who often are those loyal and hardcore customers. These customers do not deserve any "punishment" from the game!

I come up with an idea to encourage these loyal and hardcore customers. I post it here:

Pardon me, but you do realize the trophy system, in a way, will offset the loot penalty?

The bonus loot from the league system will be from SC, and not the player being attacked.

Your "idea" is pretty much "remove the loot penalty altogether"

Don't you think the bonus loot is far too less for TH8-TH9 below 2000 trophy? At 2000 trophy and above, do you think you can actually "farm" there?

Besides, TH8-TH9 still got "punishment" in the league system. Why do these players need to suffer? It is the "punishment" that need to be offset. Even without the league system this idea could work. I would call this idea an idea, not an "idea".

As SC has said, nothing is set in stone. Until the update comes, all we can do is speculate how "good" or how "bad" farming becomes

What's wrong with this? Lower level TH still got "protected". They lose much less being attacked by high level TH but still get the same protection time. When I was saving DE at TH7 I kind of welcome TH9 to attack me. It gives me protection against TH7 and TH8 and especially against those cheap lighting spell attack. Why not?

I think the way to increase TH9s is to have people play at their own risk. F a TH7 wants to come play ball at 1600 trophies, the penalty for loot will be less for a TH7 at 1200 trophies. For example the th9 only takes a 10% hit at 1600 trophies instead of the normal higher penalty. I think this will not only increase th9s , but Also that will give a "sweet spot" for 9s to hang out and there will be massive competition at that range.

Another example would be if TH8s want to come about 1750 trophies, there should be no loot penalty for the 9 attacking 8. And the 8 should still get the bonus for attacking the 9. More loot for both.

This suggestion of course will fall on deaf ears until the trophy league gets tested out.

Why should it get easier with higher level? I would prefer to have only same/ higher TH lvl available rather than 1-2 lvl below me. It's not fair for them being crushed by someone 2 level higher than themselves with no chance to defende properly.

This is a sweat idea as well!

Yeah right... no loot penalty for higher TH's vs. lower TH's.... there was a reason this was introduced :rolleyes: If you don't want any loot penalty, go attack TH's with your lvl. It is perfectly logical that you get a penalty because you have 2 level/ 1 level higher troops than TH7/TH8 and you have more troops than either of them which gives you a significant advantage over these TH levels. There is no reason why it should be even more simple.

Simple? Think about the populations of TH8-TH9 with decent loot available. You cant find them as easy as it is at TH7 and below even if you want to attack them. And it takes much more effort to prepare the attack (spells are normally required at high level attack). You can loot 100k easy under Th5 with just goblins and a few giants and it takes like 10 mins to prepare the troops. Well, try that for TH8-TH9 attack.

I totally disagree with this! Only being able to attack your own TH levels would end my gaming on CoC. I could care less about only being able to attack maxed bases (being at TH9 before the stupid penalities came in). The less mucking about with this system, the better.

I'm using just barbs/archer and gobs @TH6 and yes, I had several 400-500k (total) raids....

However I find as TH8 a lot of other TH8 or TH9 which have sufficient loot and are easy to raid with a similar army as mentioned above (using 10 wallbreaker usually) @1500 cup range.

You find TH8-9 with sufficient loot coz you are at TH6. You get 50% bonus attacking TH8 and 75% attacking TH9. That's why.

You said you are at TH6. I don't understand why you have level 5 troops unless you've used the glitch to get them. Besides, how many is "a lot"? Certainly there are premature TH8-9 but they are not the majority of the population. Not everyone has plenty of time to search again and again to get them.

I've got two villages... a TH6 and TH8.

If you go below 1600 you find frequent TH8/TH9's which have resources (100/100 +) as TH8.

Something that yields the net effect of punishment is not therefore punishment itself. Not allowing loot to be available is not (for example) the same as taking loot away.

Reason being lower TH's can attack their equally weak peers for 100% or attack a TH 1+ level up for 150%...
