I am very surprised that no one has ever thought of this idea before. I am confident that it is a new and fresh idea that really should be taken into consideration. My idea is a building that is or could be called the converter. What this building would do is convert recourses. Ex: gold to elixir, dark elixir to gold Ect...
I have often found it very hard to upgrade walls as do many other people. I am not one to complain about this problem but I do find it hard to upgrade your walls all the way if you are trying to max out your base. When trying to max out your base, you usually find an abundance of elixir with nothing to spend it on except troops or spells. This is the primary place that the converter would come in handy. If I was saving my gold to upgrade my walls I could put some elixer into the converter and it would become gold. The converter would not only convert elixir to gold, this is just the most common case that I find. The converter could be set to convert any of the three resources into any of the other three. Depending on how much resource you put into the converter determines the amount of time it takes for it to convert.
You could not convert your resources without a price. The converter would charge you 50% every time you choose to convert. That way people couldn't abuse the power of the converter. Ex: if you put 200k elixir into the converter wanting to receive gold, you would only get 100k gold after the conversion or whatever supercell decided the amount of resource lost after the conversion.
the converter could be made into a separate slot in the laboratory. By doing this, the converter wouldn't be made into a brand new building taking up space on the base itself. That way you could only be converting resources or upgrading one of your troops at one time. If it was made a part of the laboratory, then the upgrades would
One last variable to the converter is the upgrades to it. As the laboratory/converter is upgraded further, the amount of resources lost after the conversion could decrease. Ex: lvl 1 converter takes away 60% of the resources put in wile a lvl 2 converter would only take 55%. Also, as the laboratory/converter is upgraded further, the amount of resources you are able to put in varies. Ex: lvl 1 laboratory/converter only lets you convert 50k resources at a time while a higher level will let you convert more at a time. The amount of time it takes to convert also could vary as it is upgraded more.
The option of including dark elixir in the converter could be decided entirely by supercell if they end up using this idea. It could be very complicated to include dark elixir entirely because it is unlocked at town hall 7 and it is harder to come by than elixir and gold.
Main points of the converter:
-it is a part of the laboratory
-the converter takes resources away if you choose to convert
-there is a maximum amount of resources that you can convert at one time.
-all of these variables change as the laboratory/converter is upgraded further
Please take into consideration of my idea and know that all these numbers that I have created do not have to be how I said. This is just an idea and it does not have to be exactly how I have said it to be if supercell chooses to use this idea in the future if CLASH OF CLAN.
