What is the minimum you should have done to get TH8?

Just from reading around here loot gets a lot tougher at th8 and it's best to come into th8 as maxed as you have the patience for lol.

I'm currently working on my lvl 7 walls and max splash defense, and dont plan on moving up until they are done.

Well for starters upgrade your air defence.Because at th 7 people start attacking you with dragons so you need to be able to defend,other than that try to max out ur mortars asap because now they can only 1 shot lv 3 arch also upgrade wizard towers as they are good for defending against hordes and only start becoming effective at lv 3 .What level are your troops? If they are less than 3 upgrade them. and you should try to equalize your barracks level for faster troop production.

Yep, I got it, I'll at least max my defenses. ;) I don't know if I'll do everything (troop related buildings too) but I suppose. My defense got defeated twice yesterday (only 50% each but still), so I will max the defense. I like my trophies ;) It worked well for a while, even on th7, but it doesn't work anymore now, so I'll have to update.

My troops are level 3 archer and barbs, level 2 the rest of it (balloons, giants, wallbreakers, wizards). I'm currently doing giants up to level 3, after that I'll do the wallbreakers and then upgrade the lab to get level 4 archers and barbs. I never use wizards or balloons so I'll do them some time later.
The third worker is already working on the level 5 barrack. :)

Meanwhile I've got four walls left which aren't golden, the rest is. Those will follow as soon as another builder is free. After you all told me to max th7, I'll try to and show my impatience I'm stronger :cool: Thanks again! I'll post a pic in about 2 weeks to show you I'm serious ;) (I always love that when people ask for advice and then do different anyway. I won't, promise.)

You've pretty much got the idea already, I wouldn't say you need to max everything (which it sounds like you aren't planning to), but I'd say you should definitely take your time at TH7, mainly because you need to learn to raid properly. Even if you get to some set goals as far as upgrades go, you'll have trouble at TH8 if you still aren't all that great at raiding.

At the minimum though, don't start your TH upgrade until you max one of the following 3 things:
1. Defenses
2. Walls
3. Lab Research for elixir troops (not DE troops)

Once you get to the point where one of the three are maxed, you should be good to go as long as the other two are also in decent shape. If you maxed your defenses, for example, you are good to upgrade if your walls are around half purple and all your farming troops in the research lab are maxed.

I guess I'll do the troop related stuff, too. I did some raids yesterday to get the gold for my walls and now I got almost a million elixir on my hands and simply have it spare. I didn't think it'd be that easy to get so much elixir, but that should be enough to do some of the troop stuff, too. So I guess I'll try to really max th7. :)
