Compared to how much to gain to how much you lose, it's not that much.
... I'd say save it up and go to GOLD III to I and farm for DE. There's PLENTY there.
I'm currently TH7. I've already maxed all my walls/buildings/defenses and am also BK level 5, Minion Level 2 (in less than a day) and have 20k DE ready for my Hog Rider Level 2 upgrade. I've never zapped for DE because I feel that it's not worth it and farming for DE is faster/more efficient.
I use TWO troop compositions :
A. If I need 400 minimum DE and a lot of ELIXIR :
- 8 Giants, 8 Wallbreakers, 74 Archers, 40 Barbarians and 30 Goblins (all level 4). I also use Level 5 Barbarian King, 2 heal spells and 1 rage spell but I don't wait for them to finish. If my "A" troops are ready, I attack right away.
B. If I have enough ELIXIR and wants to get A LOT of DE (900 DE above) :
- 8 Dragons, 40 Archers, 3 lightning spells (for Air Defense) and Level 5 Barbarian King.
Works like a charm and I had little to no adjustment period to farm effectively.
You can easily get a king at Th7. My mini account already has a 20k de heist from picking off drills and exposed storages in high gold leagues.
make sure you have 20k when you're town hall upgrades so you can save up for some dark elixir troop upgrade in the lab and save 30% of the effort
you can produce 2-3x DE faster on th8 with drills and lv.5 troops
for me, maxing BK / DE troops on TH7 is waste of time
I would do it on TH8, even TH9 where DE is much easier to get.
this! looting for DE becomes easier with lvl 5 troops. Also don't forget to upgrade your DE storage so it's harder to get all your DE. :pQuote:
