So I'm a level 71 fully maxed th7 base, except for my barb king (currently lvl 2), and hogs. Should I go to th8 and get a drill or stay and max my barb king?

You will not get that much from a lvl3 drill. Its easier to hold the DE when you are maxed th8 than th7 thats it
Yes... But you see, getting to crystal isn't very easy by just th sniping. I'm hovering above gold two right now. Zappin drills is cool and all but idk about consistency. Is a de drill a good source?Quote:

Kudos for maxing a base, but you NEED TO UPGRADE to TH8. Dont wait for the Barb King.
Why?:
1. You need more defense since you are probably not able to spend your resources (being maxed)
2. The more Dark Elixir you have as a TH7, the more you will be raided. Any mid TH8 can 3 star your base. You need defenses (plus 50 more wall @ TH8 helps) to protect your precious resource!
3. Get your drill, but useless until lvl 3
4. You need lvl 5 barbs and archers for raiding dark elixir
5. If you are fully upgraded, your builders are just wasting time!
6. Barb King upgrade (to lvl 5) is important, but you can do it faster at TH8.
Don't wast anymore time...go and hit that upgrade button now!
Well, I have a TH8 at the moment and a DE drill lvl3 and I've got to say it's a good source of DE, especially when it's boosted. It takes 10 hours for making 450 DE, but when boosted it takes only 5 hours (and even less!!). But you can't get that much DE to upgrade your BK because of consistent attacks of other players, especially when you have much DE.Quote:

I was in the same position as you and went to TH8 with a BK2, During the normal course of raiding for your upgrade resources you will accumulate enough DE to upgrade the BK (Mines at 10 now).
TH snipe to C3? Are you crazy? You have maxed TH7 troops! You can just barch go for the 2-star and 3-stars and attack other low lvl TH7s! And he's talking about zapping the storage, not drills., but I was just raid the storage instead.Quote:
