My idea would be a building called a Trade Market. You can do the following in this building:
1. Trade amongst your clan members gold or elixir, not gems, so you can work together to build the best clan out there.
2. You can use this building to convert either gold or elixir into either gold or elixir.
This building could be upgradable and each time you do so, you will get more back when converting.
Eg.
Level 1, you lose 20% of converting amount
level 2, you lose 15% of converting amount
level 3, you lose 10% of converting amount
etc etc
i find you tend to have more of one resource at a time so this would help out.
