Lightning Spell doing no damage to resource storages to about dummy attacks

I'm tired of dummy attacks consisting in using all their lightning spells on top of my dark elixir storage, with the loss of 1000+ dark elixir, aren't you?

I've thought about it, and I think a good way to avoid this is to make lightning spells not damaging resource storages, or at least, not damaging dark elixir storage, since having just 1, it's where the problems gets bigger.

I think that wouldn't alter "real" attacks, since the "real" use of lightning spells is to damage defensive buildings and enemy troops.

What do you think about it?

Part of the gameplay. You get trophies back for it... Since they lose.

That's one of the most stupid ways of farming. I also got looted out of dark elixir with this trick and i see no logic in loosing your trophies for some thousands of it.

As soon as you get trophies back when he surrenders it seems like an equal process, but it's not. The 15-20 trophies we get at the end are not worth the elixir we lost.

Suppose you're at 49% and you have a lightning spell. You see a DE storage with low health and it has DE in it. So zapping it would be not only save you trophies but also give you some DE as a reward!

I agree, it should be fixed/stopped. There is no skill involved in lightning DE storages, nor is there any defence against it.

Keep in mind, this is a common reoccurring topic and supercell ignores it. So don't hold your breath on it getting fixed anytime soon.

The solution to this is simple. Increase your trophies until there are almost no TH7 around. Once you get up into mid-crystal other spells are far to valuable for your attacks to waste the room on a bunch of lightning spells, so very few people do it. If you insist on farming down low this is the only real penalty there is in the game. It is part of the dynamic. An incentive for you to climb instead of farm. The fact that you don't like it means it is working.

Sorry, I disagree. I believe the game should be fun (and fixed) for all players, not just Crystal League players and above. Farmers and Gold League players should not be "annoyed by bugs/flaws", they're players too.

You're also wrong about the Crystal League. I've been there for last few months now and I still get lightning attacks against my DE storage.

As others have said this just cant be added. Unfortanatley this happens to me all the time. Yes it deffinatley ticks me off, but theirs tons of ways to avoid it, all of which have some issues that I cant afford to have. If you do a little bit of research or trial and error you can find perfect trophi range for you.. I prefer gold 3 but I do get DE zapped every once and a while.

Anything can be added/removed, if it improves the game.

TH7s do not need this flaw/feature, as any half-decent TH7 player should be able to raid a TH8 villiage for some DE loot. If they can't do that, maybe they need to go back to the Goblin Campain and skill-up.

Can I revenge them and get all my DE back? Nope, not with all the skills in the world.

There's something wrong with a game (or part of a game), where skilled players are defeated by unskilled players. Not by luck, but 100% of the time.

You may not be able to get all your DE back every time, but at least you can wipe their base out 100% and gain a bunch of trophies. Once they log back on they will see their destroyed village and say "well $hit"

I would also like to keep TH 9 from attacking my TH7 base because no matter what i do i cannot defend against Level 6 troops. There are no skills involved in attacking a base weaker than yours. I am trying to up my BK and whenever I get close to 20K DE I get raided by lvl 6 troops.

The people who zap de storages are almost as stupid as the people who make these repetitive threads. Get over it, they can't zap much! it's not hard to get back.

Of course you get raided (with troops) when you have full DE storages! You'll probably have noticed that you also get raided when you have full Gold and/or Elixir storages too? :)

Granted, a TH9 with level 6 troops who cares nothing about the cost of the attack nor the terrible loot, will always be able to 100% destroy a TH7 and win 1 cup. Yay!

Oh my bad, i thought this thread was to ask SC to protect people who cannot defend themselves against lightning strikes or otherwise. The way i see it, if people's DE storage should be protected against lightning strikes then it should also be protected against a force far stronger that the current TH level. In both cases defense is not possible.

Ah, the naive view of the young TH7 grasshopper.

When you reach TH9 and you've been on the reviving end of the lightning DE feature/flaw (at least 100 times), you'll then have the experience required to form a more balanced view.

I think i have a balanced view right now since I know that these attacks are part of the game. Whether its lightning strikes on my DE storage or OP troops. I know that even a maxed out TH 8 can only get less than half of the available 5% of DE in my storage when they zap me. I am not going to whine about people zapping me the same way i dont whine about OP troops attacking me. This young TH 7 have been zapped close to a 100 times by my fellow TH 7 and in some occasion higher level TH. I am ok with it.
i have also seen a TH8 get decimated by a TH9 using lvl 6 giants, lvl 6 wiz, BK and AQ. The DE loss was over 1300 with over 100K lost in gold. I think that falls in the same category as not being able to defend and protect your DE just like what lightning strikes do to TH9.
