Elixir Upgrades

I would like to discuss the imbalance of elixir and gold.

I am a Town Hall 9 player who has maxed out all my upgrades and researches that cost elixir. I am currently farming to get my defenses upgraded. The problem i have run into is that I am maxed out on elixir and I have nothing to spend it on other than army troops!

The solution could happen in one simple way, make the ability to upgrades walls with elixir or gold. Example a level 8 wall could cost 500,000 gold or 500,000 elixir.

I also notice when looking for a raid / attack that nearly all of the bases have more elixir than gold. I think people should like this idea!

The word highlighted is why you have surplus elixir.

For those battling away in Champions league it is very different, often champs need to boost elixir collectors just to have enough to cook powerful armies and 5 spells each battle.

Besides, when you go to TH10 you'll appreciate the extra elixir available to raid for. I know I will!

I understand that.. I think it would be a good way to help the game progress! I know i am not the only one who thinks this is a good idea!

Oh I agree it would help progress. Personally I'd be happy with it.

Just have serious doubt it would happen. This would require breaking the rules of 'gold is for defense' & 'elixir is for offense' which SuperCell defined when spells changed to elixir cost.

Have you experienced what I am talking about with maxed out elixir? It just seems dumb to be wasting all that elixir! Btw im using barch in gold 1

Oh god yeah, I have been maxed TH9 for months just doing heroes & walls. So the elixir constantly overflows.

But, it gives me freedom to use spells recklessly and donate Wizards to my clan mates with no concern of elixir.

I also know I'll appreciate the extra elixir lying around when my TH10 finishes upgrading.

i am going through the same problem, but at TH 8. i have no further upgrades with elixir which leaves me with 6,000,000 elixir just sitting there and i am trying to max defenses now. problem is, i have to keep gold more secure than my elixir which usually leaves me with -400k elixir after defenses.
I love the idea by the way, would help me get walls done much faster:)

Even if it were say... 1,000,000 elixir for a wall (level 8) ... Double the cost if used elixir it would be better than months of wasting elixir cuz its just maxed out

This basically means you would be able to farm walls twice as fast.
