Absolutely possible. No reason to do it, but TH 8s can go well up into the 2000s.
You're asking to get harassed left and right by TH9s by going over 2k trophies at TH8... DON'T DO IT.
How far up? Just wondering so I can set a goal for my clan's next trophy push.Quote:

I got to 2400 with TH8 in December, when the trophy inflation wasnt so bad. So I'm sure one could get to at least 2500-2600 now

I got to 2200 witha not maxed th8. But then it got very hard. The army to use is very expensive and once you gain 10 trophies, you lose 10 trophies again, because a heavy th9 is owning you easily. Thats how i felt. At 2200 trophies, the searches i went through, only 4% are still TH8, and these I immediately attacked, because there are no X-Bows.
My conclusion: if you gem the elixir and you have lvl3 drags/pekkas, you can get to 2500 or even a bit more. If you dont gem, there is a boarder at 2200, bc you cant manage to gain more trophies then you lose.
