GoWiPe for TH 9?

Hi, I am a townhall 9 looking to expand my repertoire of attack strategies. So far I have mostly avoided pekkas due to her tendency to take a stroll looking for flowers around the outside of the base. I would like to get better at the gowipe strategy though. I have been using gowiwi and love it. Is gowipe essentially the same in terms of deployment except that you use pekkas instead of witches?

I have 220 army camp size, lev 3 pekkas, lev 4 golems, lev 5 wizards. I have room for 4 spells, all maxed for my level.

Any help would be greatly appreciated:eek:

No.
With go-wipe you place golems first>get few wizards+wbs clear outside buildings>when good amount is cleared place another golem+wiz+pekka+wb if needed. this way the pekka wont be looking for flowers

Thanks for the tip, casparrr! what army comp would you use? I have been trying with 2 golem, 2 pekka, 12wbs, rest wizards and archers. Spells have been 2 rage, 1 heal, and 1 jump.

Friendly bump. Any tips or videos for th9 gowipe would be very helpful :cool:

Dont give up trying to use pekka just because they sometimes like to go for a walk around the outside. Even that can end in a successful raid.

Hmm Interesting choice with the 3 heals. Is that to help pekkas when getting zapped by teslas? I will have to give it a try! Thanks

With the clan castle available, I use 2 golems, 3 pekkas, about 12-15 wbs, rest wizards. I use 2 heal, 2 rage. The wizards are more powerful than the pekka (I used 2 golems and 2 pekkas at th8), but the pekka provides useful tanking (as does the BK). The keys are to protect your wizards and AQ behind the big guys, and not to let pekkas go around the base, as they are wont to do.

The AQ is actually very, very useful because of her longer range. If you can successfully plant her behind a golem and several pekkas, she will take out the point defenses that can eventually hamper your attack, without taking much damage.

I think of the heals as keeping the wizards alive more than anything else.

Thanks for this wala. How would you ensure pekkas tank In front of wizards? Would you hold back on deploying a few wizards until after pekkas move towards the centre?

Yes, I do deploy the wizards in two waves; one wave to take out distractions behind the golems, and then the rest of the wizards after putting in the pekkas. The pekkas rush in after the initial rage, so they do cover the wizards somewhat, and a heal right then and there also helps. The golems were deployed first, so they should also be providing cover.

Things get very disorganized after the battle starts, so it is a matter of luck and having big troops in the general vicinity that the wizards are. For example, it is really important to separate the golems and try to ensure they don't end up in the same compartment; otherwise it's a waste of a golem as the two golems together try to slowly bash down a wall on the left, while all the wizards are dying to teslas and cannons on the right. If you can get a golem and pekka or two in the left "area" and the same in the right "area," they will tend to (again, no guarantees) draw enough fire to keep maybe half of your wizards alive, which is plenty.
