Upgrading to TH8

Hello all, today I am seeking advice for what to upgrade as soon as I get to TH8. I maxed out TH7 so I don't have to worry about it. Anyways I have about 4 mil of each resource and 2,000 DE. I would like to know what I should do first. Is the DE drill that necessary at the beginning? I know my first thing to do is upgrade my lab. Then when that is done I upgrade my archers. My most used army is 200 archers. Should I get all the walls to level 3, 4, or 5? Should I start the mortar upgrades immediately. Do i buy the hidden tesla? Should I buy everything before I upgrade anything. So I have a lot of questions. Can someone answer them please. Thanks and Good luck.

There are 131 threads answering this exact question. Although some are for different town halls, a lot are for TH8. use the search function, it is your friend.

Upgrade lab, army camps, spell factory, then splash def.

Plan to have all builders free and max loot when it finishes.

Others may offer different, perhaps better advice, but here's mine:

1. Build all new DEFENSES first. Lvl 1 defense is better than none and giants go straight for them.
2. Upgrade lab immediately.
3. build all new walls immediately (u don't have to incorporate them into your base)
4. I suggest using a farming base to try to save the gold you have left over. Otherwise a th9 is gonna kill you.
5. Begin upgrading new defenses up to at least one level below your town hall. Then work on maxing them all.

While building the drill is not altogether a necessity right now, it does help. If anything, it provides another structure to slow down troops. I knew I wanted to upgrade my king so I built it pretty fast and upgraded it as well.

Build all other structures (gold and elixir storage) after new defenses are built and caught up some. I didn't worry about second Dark Barracks. In fact, I still don't have it primarily because I use barcher mostly and all my DE goes to my king.

Work on your walls as often as you can, but defenses should be top priority.

well man, army camps and spell factory cannot be upgraded from th7 to th8...

when i upgraded my th7 to th8 i had 3 builders,i recommend you to do these things first:
-dark elixir drill, that's sooo important to improve your dark troops and bk
-lab, for level 5 troops( they're awesome!)
and with the third builder , build new buildings(sorry for the tongue.twister ahah) which are wizard tower,hidden tesla and arch tower! :) (build even new bombs,walls and storages)

i recommend you even to upgrade them new defences and walls instantly and bring your de drill to level 3 as soon as possible!

I put down all my new buildings, started the lab upgrade, and just kept one builder on the DE drill until it was maxxed. Now I'm swimming in DE
