They ain't gone anywhere, you'll find some :)
They are still in the game somewhere. You will usually have one item our of 3 which are hard to get when upgrading or expanding.
You could also try the trading thread here:
http://forum.supercell.net/showthrea...-Deal!-(part-2)
Since this isn't a bug I'll move it to the General subforum.
there will be a time when you wish you stopped getting land deeds and got barn items instead ... there will be a time ....
If you really want land deeds trade for them. This may not be you but the people that cry about not being able to get something but refuse to trade need to grow up, stop crying and trade for the parts they need.
Since this was your first post i assume you dont know about trading or have not considered it. I suggest placing a request on the trading thread and be willing to give a little to get what you want or need.
You don't have to "grow up, stop crying OR trade"
I haven't traded anything, this whole forum is full of complaints, and it's a GAME (don't grow up)
Unless you NEED the instant gratification there is more satisfaction from doing it yourself - follow expanded farms, grow a lot of wheat (good stuff comes from those fields) , be ready for the paper with goodies and be fast :) it's a rush!
Cats and dogs give items when you feed them too :)
It's not a competition (I don't care about the Leaderboard ) it's a farm - grow crops, make stuff, and fill your friends crates and sell the rest (or trade, but please don't grow up :)
You can find me through GC if you want - I sell land expansion items whenever I get them
It should work - I've gotten a couple :) that's in the Game Centre not the forum or HayDay
I have read your posts and always thought you were an adult, but like most children instead of making a valid argument or point you seem to realize your only option is name calling. And no i didnt call you a name for no reason like you did me, i just compaired your actions to the actions of a child.
"There's no point in being grown-up if you can't be childish now and then."
[Hoo is wondering "who" will get that pop culture reference.]
i also happen to find it annoying that it seems easier to go outside the game to acquire expansion materials. No, I haven't traded yet. I won't say never to trading but so far I've resisted. I get such a thrill out of seeing those items for sale in the paper or in my friends shops that I feel like I should spread the joy of a good sale to others. :D
if the "intent" of the developers is to create a social community game you should be able to communicate and trade/sell privately with others within the game without needing an outside forum.
All that said, the only advice I can offer is that patience pays off eventually. it might take longer than you wish but eventually you will get items you need. I managed to get all my land expansions without trading. I am, however still obsessed with barn and silo materials.
I just wanted to say this is a grownup statement and counter to my statement. I didnt mean for people to think i feel everyone should trade only the ones complaining they cant find things they want. For those that wish to wait and find the items they need it is the way they want to play and anyway that people play they feel is entertianing is the right way to play for them. I felt everyone would understand my comment was for people not happy playing that way but refuse to change the way they play.
Ahh-but I didn't call you a name-I said your name confused me with a moron-then your posts made me think the same thing-not are-see the difference-that is actually very adult.
Here is my valid point-while I also get amused on the flip side-seeing the "I got cheated on a trade" -or the "Everyone should know about trading" threads (I could go on and on) nothing amused me more then your post. Telling someone to grow up because they were complaining that they couldn't find a piece of virtual wood-is about the most funniest thing I have seen in this side of the forum. Grow up because you age, or because your life changes and you acquire more responsibility-or because of some horrible life changing circumstance-but really -grow up because you can't find a bolt?
Now of course-I'm sure you didn't mean your post to be as "deep" as it reads-but alas-it does, so my first comment stands!
I wouldn't have even commented on your use of the word "cry"-even though it sounds very condescending-but when "grow up" was added to it-in a post about a virtual game with smiling pigs-I simply couldn't pass up writing my comment.
As you are now on 3 comments with feedback to your post-that just proves I wasn't the only one who had an opinion about it-of course it also proves that the other 2 posters are much more polite then I am. I guess that child-like quality I have just blazes forth sometimes!
Is this more what you had in mind?
My situation is just like yours OP. I have about 40 mallets and 40 stakes but 5 deeds. Wth am I supposed to do with just 5. I have terrible luck with paper too. All I find are mallets and stakes everywhere and which ever lone deed is there, it's already sold. Poor me. But I am still going to sit and sulk about it instead of 'growing up' because that's just how I like to play the game. I have nothing against trading but I just love the thrill of finding an item I have been looking for and frankly I am afraid I am going to be bored once there's no thrill.
I tried to explain the exact same thing to Maaron about 2 weeks ago in this thread-
http://forum.supercell.net/showthrea...capacity/page4
It started on page 3. I guess they didn't understand. Some people aren't in this game to Level up/expand quickly. Since I don't see many "Grow up and stop trading and play the game my way posts" I guess the grow up and start trading post here threw me.
OK-valid point made and over!
Hurahhh!
I think that these forums were created for people to not only come together to talk about hay day, (and CoC), but as a resource for people who have questions about anything. We have all become a little community here, and sometimes that can be a little intimidating for new people to join in. I remember when I first came to the forums...I was scared to death to ask my question, and I "lurked" for a long time before joining in because I didn't want to be ridiculed or attacked. I got three pages of responses and almost every single one was patient and helpful and made me feel comfortable. But one person told me to "suck it up", and called me a "diaper baby". And the other "helpful" person told me to go to therapy. Now, I'm intelligent enough to know that it is their own issues that make them act like that, not mine, but if the other people hadn't been as nice as they had, I might never have joined in again.
We all know that new people are joining everyday. And yes, maybe we have all seen some strange questions, some silly questions and also some questions that have been asked over and over. But as polite, helpful, moral people interacting together in a "community", we smile...remember when we were brand new to this forum, and try to be as helpful and accepting as possible.
You are drawn to people because they are nice. So what happened to that quality within yourself? I get, from your response that you maybe weren't intentionally attacking nanajen, but, can you see how the words you chose would make a new member feel like a fool for just asking a little question? Perhaps the next time you respond to someone who is asking a question you're sick of hearing you will remember your first venture onto this forum...or better yet, just don't.
Aaaah, I love popping in every now and then and still see Kendra post and now RD is taking over me as good cop LOL! As a person who used to trade lots and lots daily, I can definitely say it's not everyone's cup of tea and not every trade is smooth and easy. Ask my hubby, he would know. Not because he plays or trades but because I yell and are mad people PM halfway and disappear. Kind of ironic how the circle completes itself as I've been doing just that lately. I keep leaving people hanging because I keep forgetting I posted something in the trade thread (since I'm not on that often anymore, I forget to check forum every few minutes).
People looking for land materials, feel free to add me. I sold my stock of over 300 parts this week alone. As a matter of fact, I sold over 50 deeds today alone. From now on, I'll start putting them up for sale as soon as I find or get any. ONLY people still expanding farm or buying for someone specific are welcome to buy. I don't like it when neighbors are buying and reselling to their nbrs as a favor because OBVIOUSLY I'm already trying to to do JUST THAT! Steal my "cred" and you won't walk away unpunished! Yepp, I got mean. Deleting people to the left and right all day long for all kinds of reasons muhahahah!
Ok off topic here but sometimes I buy and resell to make more money. I know some of my neighbors that are high level (beyond 50 I mean) who don't really need cash so they sell stuff cheap. I sometimes will buy that cheap item to resell because being at lower level I am looking to make money as many ways as I can. I have the jewellery maker coming up in the next level and right now i Only have 60K. So somewhere between now and the next level, I have to raise another 60K.
But I don't do this with all items. Only those that sell fast. I don't want those 3 blue shirts or those wooly hats sitting in my stall forever. Like today for eg, a very low level neighbor was selling 10 blackberries for 300c. I bought it because that's 500c profit as their max price is 800 something. Plus maybe that low level player needed money so they got helped too...

THIS .
except for land deeds, though. haha >_<
Now I too sell mallets and stakes instead trading because I'm way too lazy. Additionally, almost everyone offers LEMs to trade, which is sooo boring. Unless the ratio is 2:1 or more, I don't think any player would go for that trade..
When I get enough slots in my roadside shop, I will probably go deleting some friends who never sell anything or have quit Hay Day already.. Imagine the feeling you get when you need to trade with a 2x/3x-level friend and have to scroll all the way through your long and winding friendlist.
I always get a ♥♥♥♥ ton of mallets. I have like 27 right now with only 10 or so marker stakes and 3 land deeds.
It's the same way with the barn and silo. I always get bolts, then when I have enough duct tape to expand I start getting more of those too so I end up with a ton of both of them with barely any planks. With the silo, I get a ton of nails and always have to buy screws to increase the storage.
