Improve buying a shield - automatic resource collection

Most ppl will agree that buying a shield is pointless. Most of us simply move our townhall out and take a small trophy loss for 12hr protection.

to make the shield useful i would recommend the following:

• a bought shield automatically collects resources for you. This would entice ppl to pay gems because they can come back from leave and have all the loot collected while they were gone

Please +1 if you like this idea, and supercell I'm going on holidays in 2 weeks if you could have it implemented by then that would be great * cough

if you have a shield, you don't really need it to collect the resources for you, you are protected! no? please tell me if i misunderstood your thread.

I believe OP means if you buy a shield, it will collect resources from your pumps mines for during the time and move them to the storages.

For example if you are going on a weekend vacation you could purchase a 72 hours shield, and instead of your pumps just maxing out within the first day, the purchased shield would move resources from pumps to storages and you come home to a lot more resources than just full pumps.

Also, I like this idea.

So when u have a bought shield it automatically collects loot from your resource pumps so they dont max out. It would be awesome so come back from your holidays and you get a nice surprise seeing how much loot you collected.

overall the shield system needs a buff because nobody seems to use it. The benefit for supercell is ppl will spend more gems.

Good comments about the cool down phase so that it doesn't get abused. Supercell could consider that using a special shield with resource collections cools down on all other shields aswell.

I'm very doubtful they'll introduce an automatic resource collection for any reason.

If you're going on vacation, I understand that you don't have time to train troops and raid enough times to make it worth it, but you should have 15 seconds in any given day to load the app and click on your collectors.

Heck, most people go Numero Deuce once a day, collect your resources while you're "dumping" your unwanted resources.

Unless you are going on an international vacation, which, why the heck do you care about CoC for anyways? Enjoy your vacation, not everyone gets one!

going on leave in 2 days, where my shield supercell? *I have gems and i am not afraid to use them

This is actually a very good idea, one I'm surprised I haven't heard before.

Makes absolute perfect sense and is completely in the spirit of what the shield is supposed to be for. Why should you have to deal with your collectors filling up while you're on a one week break that you paid gems for?
