I made a few changes from the original. Town hall is in range of the mortar, archer tower, and cannon on East side. Barb king is in center. Dark drill is on North side, gold storage from center moved to South.

The positions of your army camps make me cringe.

Swap your gold and elixir storage positions.
I'm guessing that you are either an under leveled town hall 8 or just got attacked by someone much higher because I have never been 3 starred in Gold 1Quote:

I have been using this layout for 2 months hovering between 1100 and 1400 trophies and never been 3 starred. Not even in clan wars. Only 2 starred on 2 or 3 occasions.!
Beside general messiness outside the base, the bottom left giant bomb isn't going to do much.
I would try this base out, but like every base I try I would def change some thing. funny it's called "trapception" but I absolutley hate almost all the trap and bomb placement, sorry
The concept behind the base is that the traps take out giants or whatever that will roll your base. Unfortunately if your opponent has seen this base before a few well placed goblins makes it very ineffective.
