your walls and base design look great....your defense does not. Don't be discouraged just don't go to Town Hall 8 anytime soon...just camp out right there for a bit and start farming....you have 4 builders which is nice... keep them busy... you will keep getting rocked for awhile but be patient... don't waste builders on pumps and mines for a bit... at this point you should be stealing more than you can pull out of the ground.
Well you do have 2 mortars upgrading, your wizard towers need to be at least lvl 3 and your archer towers could be higher. And it's also that you had a lot of gold and that leads to getting some heavy attacks.
So I should use my next attack as a 12-16 hr stallout shield until my mortars finish? Then possibly spend my gold on a lv 5 mortar? And keep a builder open for purple walls? Or possibly spend that gold on a lv 2/3 Wizard Tower? Those lv 11 gold mine upgrades are coming back to bite me..
If you want to you could, but if you think you can raid enough to surpass the amount of resources that people might take from you then don't stall. Don't go for purple walls now, specially since your defenses are pretty low, waste all your gold on defences and then do walls. Purple walls still take the same amount of lvl 5 wallbreakers to take down as pink anyway.Quote:

Me personally, I would concentrate on canons and archer towers at this point. Again, if it were me, I would scrap the gold mine upgrades. they didn't really cost you that much elixir anyways. ... and finally, a sarcastic joke... try getting a new clan that has better players that can pass down wisdom as well :oQuote:

I would work very hard on upgrading your defenses!...which it looks like you are doing. Don't upgrade two mortars at the same time... Those are strong and if you take them both out it will hurt... I normally try to do one weaker defense and one strong so it's not so bad...like air defence and a mortar... Or a cannon and a tower
A couple other suggestions..
Once they are done pull your mortars into your base. Put them in a triangle but not together....I don't know how to explaine it but check out the screenshot threads and see how they put them in a triangle to protect the whole base.
Pull your wizard towers in so they can't be attacked from the outside. They are great defense but are weak when attacked.
Take the air defence out of the center... I doubt you will have many dragons attacking and the other stuff is way more important... I had mine like that but learned it wasn't really necessary in the middle.
Again... The screenshot base designs threads will give you great ideas... They have a ton of info in them... Hold off on upgrading the gold if you can and get your defenses upgraded.
I could possibly switch the Wiz tower and the air defense, switch my future tesla location, switch around my elixir storages (I really don't know what to do with my elixir very often lol), and put my bk altar where the south builders hut next to the archer tower is? I have been in your trophy range for months,still i have been attacked with dragons and barb king only 2 times(maybe because i prefer to keep my storages empty when i have no builders available).
Wiz towers guard ur gold. I would concentrate on wiz tower and mortar upgrades. Don't worry about guarding ur air defenses too much, at ur lvl ur not in too much danager of too many air attacks.
you definitely have the right idea, just keep moving forward.
You're keeping far too much loot on hand when you log off. Try to play enough to get enough loot for an upgrade, then spend it before quitting. Your combination of underdeveloped defenses and high loot make you a very attractive target. You'd rather be skipped over or have your TH taken by a cup hunter.
And while you shouldn't see many dragons, you may see healers. So I'd be careful about allowing those air defenses to be too easy to knock out. Giant/healer enthusiasts will take out the AD on one side and sweep right across.
Is there really anything I can do about overflowing elixir? The oppurtunities to spend it only really present themselves every couple days
Also probably not a good thing, but I went up to 1236 trophies, finding tons of loot though
If you can keep the lab churning all the time, and your army camps, barracks, gold mines, and gold storages are maxed, then no, probably not. Better to have and not need than need and not have, right? :)Quote:

MUCH better! Great job! This should help....especially when the mortars are finished. I did see one thing with your wizard towers...you may want to think about switching the top one with the mortar and the bottom one with the clan castle. This way both wizards are protecting your gold. If off sets that mortar triangle slightly but they should still cover your base nicely.Quote:

I use huts for tesla placeholders because they're the same size. And another hut in walls is a BK placeholder.
Build all the defensive structures you can before upgrading the ones you have. The defensive value of a L1 tesla is HUGE compared the difference between a L7 and L8 archer tower, for example.
Bad defenses, your protecting the TH, get a new layout.

I personally disagree with this advice. There's no need to protect your TH at your current level, it's just a waste of inside wall space which could be better used for protecting defenses. Best case is you will get a shield that you can wait out while defenses are upgrading. Protecting TH only makes sense at high levels yet so many low level players find the need to protect it which has no benefit while farming loot. Also I would advise to concentrate on maxing out mortars and wiz tower in that order, these defenses do far more damage than a arch tower or cannon tossing out one volley at individual troops. Then I would max out teslas which can also take out multiple troops. Honestly I think the quoted advice is horrible but to each their own. Good luckQuote:

You assumed wrong, I've only used gems for my 4th builder. I actually had most of my defenses maxed out for my TH 5-7 levels ago so it is more than possible. I have no problems acquiring loot for my upgrades so my builders are never idle. Take a look and see for yourself, my screen name is Rusty and my clan is RideOrDieKlan. I take that your not a very good player if you think this is impossible and by taking one look at your village my belief confirms your a novice player. You have made the mistake of prematurely upgrading to TH9, my buildings and defenses match most of yours. So we are basically at the same level, only difference is I did it the right way and i'm able to acquire tons of loot while your struggling because of the TH penalty. I can surely give you some tips though if you would like? And also, I don't mind if I lose a few trophies from a raid, they rarely get much of my resources and then I can revenge more than taken from me. I love seeing players who are in a quest for trophies while they should be focusing on gaining loot for upgrades. I'm farming for loot so trophy count has no significance in my play.
