Addressing the original question that OP posed....
if you play for 2-3 hrs, you play really just for 15-20 mins in raids while waiting for the rest of the time for troops to train. If you employ all four barracks in training and raid every 20 mins with full troops, that is around 6-9 raids per day. If you are lucky to hit a couple of 300s and rest 150k avg, you will easily make 1.2 mil to 1.8 mil depending on where you are trophy range is as well as time of the day.
But, if you plan your attacks in 5 min breaks over a period of 5 hrs, you will make much bigger loot per day.
This will further be highlighted by the TH7 Lightning Thieves who receive a +50% bonus against you. Thus, I fully support the statement of maxing out TH8 (full max-out, especially barracks + collectors since TH9 has significant elixir sinkholes) before progressing to TH9. Unless of course TH10 arrives. :cool:Quote:

1) If you are going to be inactive, and wish to farm for trophy without fighting, then just push your TH in your base, place all your level 11 collectors one row out of your defensive fire for lazy farmers to raid. Thanks for all the feedback. I dont think it is possible for an average, non gem player. I think that a hardcore farmer would also struggle...if I had to put money on it, i'd say that without gem use, it is not possible to max TH9 in 365 days...unless it was your job to do so - ie you could basically do 9-5 every day, of every week, of every month, with no interruptions.
For those that are averaging high (5m+) loots each and every day, well done! I did 6m yesterday but I finally turned my ipad off at 1am...not a normal day (wanted to upgrade an X bow to L3), nuff said.
Final thought...
Given that I think most are agreeing that the average TH9 player will not be able to max out in 1yr, do you think SC will release TH10 (and associated upgrades) this year??
Here's the math if your lucky
200k gold per raid
=200k x 5 raids
=1mil gold
=5 raids x 8mil gold storage (at max)
=40 x 200k gold raids per day to max a max level gold storage
=HARD CORE FARMING!!!!!!

Note that I only have 3 barracks until 21st april, so I don't mind slightly longer gap between workers.

Its not that hard to make a planner.
