This is what i got from the video, let me know if i am missing anything.
1 - walls can now be all selected and ROTATED
2 - hinted its coming out in the next 2 weeks
3 - league will have 100 participants
4 - league shuffles every 2 weeks. Theres also a placement match, cant really understand the speaker.
5 - tesla lvl 7 - 14 days - 3,500,000 (had to pause video to confirm $ but its 3 something)
6 - clan castle lvl 5 - 30 spaces
7 - Golem - DE Troop 38 DPS, 4500 hit points, 460 DE cost, Fav target - defense like giants, 45 minute training time, movement time 12, requires LVL 4 DE Barrack
8 - clan leader can now send a message to the whole clan, once every 12 hours
9 - once balloons die, they drop to the ground and cause splash damage
1 - Hooray!
2- Hooray!
3 - Have to see how this plays out. If leagues are only open to a handful of people, it kind of defeats their purpose.
4 - Don't really care, makes sense with the league system
5 - Holy ♥♥♥♥! 2 weeks?!
6 - Won't be fun attacking against that many troops...
7 - Don't see it replacing giants due to its cost and train time
8 - About time... Why only every 12 hrs though?

Who said clan castle level 5? he clicked on a clan castle and there was no upgrade button?
If anyone is familiar with how the "leagues" for ranked league of legends or Starcraft 2 work. I imagine this will be the exact same thing:
Basically, you are placed in a league randomly with 99 other players based on your trophy count. Everyone in the league will have a similar trophy count and be ranked 1-100 highest to lowest. As you gain more trophys than the other people in your league, you move up. If you drop trophys or the players in your league pass you on trophys, you move down.
The reason for putting 100 people in a league is so you have a small pool of players to compete with. If all the millions of CoC players were in the same league, you would be moving hundreds of thousands of spots every hour as millions of players are shuffling around through the rankings at the same time.
Hope that makes sense to everyone. I am fairly certain that I am on the right track with this ;)
The placement match was from my understanding just a formality to keep inactive players out of the leagues and would happen every time the leagues shuffled. I can say that I'm 99% sure that the leagues are for everyone I believe the only reason for the shuffle and placement match is to keep fresh players in the leagues.
Riv - that would make sense if there were thousands of leagues. However, if there are 8 leagues (and 3 divisions within the 8 leagues) and each of those has 100 people then there would only be 2400 players in the league system. That is too small a percentage of the player population to even be noteworthy.
I also heard the presenter say something about leagues shuffling every 2 weeks, but in another segment of the video he indicated that if your trophies cross the threshhold to another league you would be immediately promoted to the upper league and receive the bonus.
I'm sure it will all sort itself out once we get a chance to see it, but the mechanics of league entry/promotion/demotion as well as the bonus impacts of 1/2/3 star wins will be critical to the success of this promising update.
There will be thousands of leagues. On your screen you might only see that you are at the top of the gold league for example. Ranked number 4 for example behind somd guy named 2L33T4U.
I might also be in gold league based on my trophy count because those are Pre-determined. However on my screen, the number 3 player is MilkyBob and you and 2L33T4U are nowhere to be found.
The leagues will be re-shuffled to weed out inactive players and such.
Trust me, those other games have millions of players too and a similar number of leagues.

Yep, that's probably true. I don't think that your placement in your league does anything with your loot bonus. Trophies is the only thing affecting the bonus and the other players in the league is just for you to compete against if you like to race against other people.
If the leagues system will truly be like that, won't this make the game drift further away from the clash of clans...? They should change the name of the game to clash of individuals or something...
Um wrong dormient what a lot of people don't realize is yes there's a clan system, but when you start the game it says you are the chieftain of a clan... Our villages are actually clans, and the clan system should actually be called a guild or alliance not clan.
Well, I totally forgot about that... But if it's true, then yes, clan castle should be called guild or alliance like your suggestion...
It's still a clan. You just took the guys in your village and made them members of a bigger clan.

It is either going to play out this way or there will be around 99.99% of players outside of a league despite having the right trophy count. (8 leagues, 800 spots vs the millions of players looking for a spot)
The big question is going to be:
Can people loot more at a lower trophy count (easier fights / easier defences) than they can at a higher one (increased loot bonus but longer army builds and high chance of losing resources in defences)
In another thread I started, I think the consensus is that circa 500k resources per hour is a good average loot for a farmer. SC will need to make it more attractive for farmers if they are to stop hunting at levels well below their capability.
Im not sure how viable this is because a good farmer can fight three times per hour due to the low build times of their army. If you need to make Dragons to beat player at your level, then you are fighting once per hour...Healers and wizards, perhaps 2 times per hour...so the loot bonus is going to need to be very large in order to still allow the avid player to get 500k per hour. They did say the bonus was not yet decided so perhaps they are working on this disparity
