How to keep a good trophy range while farming?

I just recently maxed out my TH6 and it is in the process of getting to TH7. What I have noticed while farming for maxed TH6 is that my trophies kept going down down and down! How is it possible to keep a good and reasonable trophy range for your Town hall level?
Do you just stop farming one day and just go full trophy mode or what?
And are there any good TH7 farming bases out there? I can't seem to find myself a good one to use.
And are there such things as farming clans? If so where do I find a good list of a few.

When farming every few raids you want to go for the 50%. I will also Town Hall snipe when farming. I also recommend using the Pokeball base design for farming, it did me well. Here is the link to the base http://forum.supercell.net/showthrea...-Farming-Bases

Try get 50% or TH snipe whenever you see one available while searching for people to farm.

yea I am very OCD with resource raiding. I mostly barch collectors and then proceed to get at least one star so I don't lose trophies. I actually rarely lose trophies farming, and if I do it's on the 200k + bases so it's worth losing a couple trophies, and yes, when you come across the bases with the Town Hall in a corner in the open take advantage of it and use just a few troops to kill it so you won't have much downtime

Don't worry its a lot easier once you hit th7, that extra camp is a life saver
