What is the best farming strategy? I have tried barch at gold 3 but at th8, i struggled to find many decent raids. I would prefer something quick and simple like barch and i would like a recommended trophy range for the strategy.

Gold 3 probably isn't the place to go... But I think 1700-1900 is good... It works for me, and I'm th9 :)
I am also wondering where to farm at th8.
I make decent gold around gold 3 but not completely satisfied, maybe there's a better range ( I usually go for collectors and easy to access storages with barch, bk and heal spells)
Best farming strategy. works well in gold 2 but works best in gold 1. if you can easily trophy up and down check silver 1 or even try silver2. a couple of guys in my clan have been farming in silver 2 so just play around with it a little.

Try gold 1 and 2. I find good loot (esspecially collector raids) around those trophy levels. :D
The bases seen in the video could have been done with barch as well though, also he has level 7 walls in that video at leastQuote:

I'm a th8 and I am hovering around 1600 trophies to 1700 trophies and the loot is excellent. I'm boosting my barracks so I'm constantly raiding.
loot seems to be really hit or miss... I always have the best luck at night time it seems like every other ten bases is chalk full of easy loots
