Healer AI Buff

How many times have you been frustrated by a healer healing one barbarian as opposed to the giants? Or it healing troops that could be one shotted, such as archers? There is an easy solution:

In the healer stats it can be seen that the favourite target at the moment is any. The healer AI buff relies on the user being able to change this.

For example, a popular tactic is healer and giants. If the user set it to this target as a favourite target, they would have the healer exclusively healing giants on the battlefield, apart from if every giant had full health, in which case the healer would be able to heal other troops on the battlefield.

Another popular tactic is healer and wizards. If the user therefore set the favourite target to wizards, they would have the healer exclusively healing wizards on the battlefield, apart from if every wizard had full health, in which case the healer would be able to heal other troops on the battlefield.

If the giants had split off in two groups, the healer would heal the larger group; no more healers healing a lone giant in comparison to 10 other giants who are getting conquered by the wizard tower slowly but surely!

in conclusion, the healer should be able to:
1. Heal a favourite ground troop according to the user's choice.
2. Heal larger groups of the favourite target when presented with the opportunity instead of the smaller one.

This will give healer AI a nice buff!

Healers are pretty buff already since they can make a pack of giants close to immortal. This would take all the skill needed to use the healer.

i see the basic problem; however, i would just set them to heal the largest group of troops that are not too far away (e.g. 1 barb or 5 giants --> healer chooses giants. however, if there are 6 barbs and 5 giants, the healer would choose the barbs. could depend on size as well (giant = 5))

First of all, there is no "skill" in pressing the screen to deploy a healer.
Second of all, the healer never heals the giants anyways ._.

Oh my gosh, you have NO idea how much this frustrates me! My raid configuration always contains 20 giants and 2 healers. And sometimes, the healers will obsessively follow one giant who breaks away from the pack, while the other 19 are slaughtered. It just happened to me 15 minutes ago! While they list a healer's favorite target as "any", it seems to me they actually prefer to follow the Barb King, if he is deployed. Maybe that's just my opinion, though. But, while I share in your frustration, I don't think they will allow modification to a troops stats, to adjust anything including a favorite target type. This would make certain troop configurations way too overpowered.

If you choose giants instead of all the troops, it's you own fault if the giants are full health and the other troops are dying. So without the bold text it's a good idea.

It's not about choosing all giants. It's about knowing when to start deploying the other troops. Let the giants clear out defenses for awhile, then start deploying troops like barbs, archers or goblins to take out the non-defense buildings and resources.

Defence stats can be modified e.g. inferno tower.

I think if this were to happen the healer itself would need a nerf along with the new features.

I know. Precisely why I said "troops" stats. We are talking about the attacking force, not the defense force.

I would increase the ratio of healers to giants. Two healers can't sustain that many giants anyway. Don't deploy both healers from the same spot because they do tend to use the same logic and do the same thing. I would use more healers and deploy them one at a time at different locations as the attack progresses. Sometimes a heal spell works to keep the giants alive long enough to kill the AD in the area.

I would use fewer giants and more wizards.

My big complaint about healers is that they can heal from a distance and yet always seem to move in range of the AD when they could move outside the range of the AD and still heal the troops. If the healer's troops get killed the healer will move to heal the other troops but often it flies over the AD to do so and gets killed.

I don't know how SC would fix that, unless they make the healer go in a circle, but it's complicated--you'd have to do the same with every other troop and defence.
