Hi! This is my first post on the forums since I can't find an answer to this question...Is it ok if I upgrade my town hall to th8? Im a farmer and i attack a lot every day and i just can't use the L4 troops! It bothers me how much they suck.http://i.imgur.com/DjZFpzc.jpg
EDIT:i do plan on maxing the barracks (including dark barracks)the storages, and maybe the mines and pumps

L4 troops don't work well in 1500+ trophy range...
I suggest you drop to about 1200 - 1300 trophies, that's where I was when I was in TH7, farming comfortably..
Go for it! Also, Get those level 5 troops as fast as possible! They are a big help!

You should maxing everything (esp walls) except BK first before proceeding to TH8 as this crucial due to the loot penalty imposed so you can't farm lower level THs, and it will also make your transition to TH8 a lot easier in terms of defence. The reason why your lvl 4 troops aren't adequate is because you're trophy range is relatively high for a TH7, drop to 1100 - 1400 trophies.

Since you farm a lot you don't have to worry about your walls or defenses in general. Just keep it reasonably up to date. Level walls are fine. You will love the power of the new troopsand make way more attacking than you will lose from being raided.
I wouldn't recommend it, no. There are too many things underleveled in your base. Beyond walls, even things like storages and the like need to go up. Storages will be crucial even if you just want L5 troops as you need to be able to hold enough elixer to upgrade to them.
At least hold off a bit longer and do a few more upgrades. Get the last of those collectors out of the way. There is so many defensive buildings at TH8 to upgrade due to the double levels on most / triple levels on teslas you won't want to still be messing with TH7 upgrades.

Do it! Forget about maxing everything out, if you are stuck then go ahead!
You'll regret missing the amazing town hall 7 loot... Good Luck at town hall 8...
