Skull walls and above, worth the time investment or not?

Another question, is it really mandatory to max them all at th 8? I am almost decided to upgrade walls to 8 (I actually had about 6 walls done before I made this thread lol) but I probably won't have them maxed by the time I max my defenses. I usually have 100% builder uptime and am always trying to be as efficient as possible with builders (have 4).

I am maxxing my walls at TH8 because these skulls will last me a bit, and I will have much more important things I will want to upgrade at TH9. And if I dont do it now, I wont get to them for ages.

I think it is definitely worth doing, but I would start with your core walls that are unlikely to be touched by WBs. I'm a TH9 with lvl 8 walls around my core and lvl 7s around the rest, very segmented core. I find very very few attacks get through the core walls. On the outside walls the difference between lvl7 vs 8 is minimal because of the use of WBs, but once you get to deeper layers it is almost always troops banging on the walls and THAT is when the extra hit points over lvl 7 makes a difference. If you get your core walls up to 8 you can afford to upgrade to TH9 or move onto other upgrades. I think that, for me, lvl8 walls is where I will stop upgrading walls, at least until I finish all my TH9 building upgrades, I will very likely upgrade to TH10 at that point.

Definitely worth doing. Some clans are also requiring a minimum wall lvl, usually at least 8 I believe. Eventually you'll have to do walls anyway so might as well start early! If you're still getting good loot at TH 8, then definitely take advantage of it and stay there until you're done with lvl 8 or until you're insanely bored. Always a plus that lvl 8 looks cooler than lvl 7 imo.

Does anyone really enjoy farming all day to upgrade a few blocks? There's only the sense of achievment after you are done.

Really, the walls past level 7/8 are just to show farming skills. I'm doing level 8 and the core to 9 but I see no use after that, I'm really only doing 8 because they look cool and the level 9 just in case with the core.

A good guideline is to keep all your wall levels 1 level below your town hall level so if you are a th8 then all your walls should be level 7. If you are a th9 then all your walls should be level 8 and so on. It gets a bit harder at th10 but it is just a guideline.
