Skull walls and above, worth the time investment or not?

I am currently at th8, all walls up to 7. I am somewhere in between a casual and a "harcore" I play more Clash of Clans than I would like to admit to people but I am not quite in the "elite" farmers that both play all the time and get absurd gold per hour. I am really wondering if I should bother with them or not... even level 7 walls were an annoyance although not a big one.

Level 8 walls seem more like a intimidating factor rather than being practical for defense and I probably won't have legos in ages. I don't plan to leave this game anytime soon so I don't want to reach a point where I regret not farming my walls earlier. Will low level walls be a big hindrance later in the game? So far Walls don't seem to relevant.

You are correct, they make a very negligible difference in normal play, especially since level 5 wallbreakers still 2 hit level 8 walls.

lvl 8 should get a buff then so it at least takes 3 WB hits, as that is where the price really jumps up.

I'm almost done with my lvl 8 walls and they have been fantastic.

Well... walls are always nice to do. Maxing defenses is top priority.

Upgrading to level 8 walls gives you two key advantages.

(1) Attackers with level 4 wall breakers will struggle to get past your walls. Black bombs won't even two hit kill except under rage.

(2) When talking with a farmer with (as you put it) "absurd gold per hour," they will at least know you know what you're talking about.

It is definetly a worthwhile investment. Not only does it look intimidating, it also helps your splash buildings have more time to eat away at the enemy. Yeah farming them is a pain but if you stick to it you will be there before you know it! Just do what you think will help you be a better player and you should be fine. Good luck with them walls!

I wouldnt bother with lvl 8 walls

When do you guys upgrade your walls? As a mid-level th8, I find it difficult to "dump" my gold on walls, as the upgrades are entirely 1 mill+.

Th9 are 3.2m minimum.

Get just lv 8 and you will be fine :)
