Clan Competition

Me and a few Cos of our clan came up with an idea of a clan competition to boost morale and general activity. I thought I would share this to you good people of this forum, and to use as you see fit.

The competition runs for the length of a season; obviously you may tweak comp length and the points scoring system to tailor for your own clan, giving emphasis to different aspects of game play. This specific comp is for our newer members between TH6 and TH8.

At the start of the season we look at each participating member and note down the following (total) statistics: attacks won, defenses won, donations, gold loot, elixir loot, dark elixir loot, town halls destroyed, and stars earned in wars. At the end of the competition we note down the same stats of the players to count the scores:

1pt per attack won
5pt per defense won
1pt per 20 donations
1pt per 100k gold loot
1pt per 100k elixir loot
1pt per 500 dark elixir loot
1pt per town hall destroyed
5pt per star earned in wars

For balance TH6 has a 2x and TH7 has a 1.5x multiplier loot points bonus. As you can see, there are a variety of ways to earn points no matter how you play the game. This specific setup is to promote general activity.

I have made a spreadsheet for this so it is quite easy to compare stats and update. Points are rounded to 0dp:

At the end of the season the top scoring member gains elder. That might not sound a lot but we don't give away elders in our clan lol. So far the comp started at the beginning of the season and I can say activity has boosted noticeably. Members are actively seeking advice on how to raid efficiently and other strategies. We have 8 new members participating in this and it is really close between 3 of them at the moment so I think the scoring balance is about right. Activity aside being able to see how new members of the clan perform side by side in a measurable manner really helps making promotional/demotional/booting considerations.

We have something like this in our clan too, but we use it for tracking the clan members' progress, not for competition.

Absolutely. I am considering making a spreadsheet for the whole clan, updating per season.
