The reason isn't because it's too difficult to do so, it's because it's too easy to hac|< the game with those other platforms. So they have made this decision to deter ch34ting, and it works quite effectively.

You can play CoC on a PC using ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Android emulator. There are some emulators available for iOS / Mac as well, just google it.
