Could use some advice...TH8 war base

Heyday there fellow clashers, my name is Dave a current Co-leader for my clan The Apocolypse. The reason I am posting today is because in my clan we war all the time and I feel it is my duty as a leader to have a good base and be able to show new members/elders how I got to my spot in the clan.

In the last 2 wars I have been hit for 2 stars and I know that will happen from time to time but I feel my base is weak I against dragons. But if I make it more for an anti air/dragons then I will be weaker for hogs/giants.

I guess what I am trying to say or ask is I would love some advice or tips or even a new base idea from the more experienced clashers.

2 of your ads dont seem to be protecting the town hall. If u want an anti drag i suggest u centralise them a bit more. OR... You could use the moat which is anti drag and anti hogs plus it works well for me. Good luck

Until you get your walls to (at least) level 7, you're going to be 3 starred by most people. Not much you can do here, I'm afraid. If you want to set an example, grind out your walls. It took me 10 days to do all of mine from level 6 to 7, so it isn't too hard.

Search the forums for the base Tempest. That's what I used for all my clan wars at th8. I moved all the storages outside the walls or within one layer of walls. BK in the middle.

Dreading level 6 and 7 walls...try level 8+. Level 7 is easy.

So is level 8 if you know what you're doing.

Anyway OP you're funneling straight to the TH so I'd fix that an invest the walls somewhere else.

Anti-hog bases can be anti drag as well if you use a moat right. I kept my TH and cc in the center with 2 air def and 2 mortars. Trick is to make the moat wide enough so that they cant easily draw out cc troops, but still take fire while going around the outside.

One thing to always remember is that Mortars are almost completely useless in Clan Wars, due to the obvious lack of tier 1 troops. You never see people barching in war, and even Archers are replaced by Wizards. This is similar in top level gameplay, which is one of the reasons many maxed TH 9s/10s disregard their mortars.
