I'm sure someone's posted about this, but it's ridiculous that matches are searched based on trophy count instead of what level you are. I just don't understand the point of this game when people lose on purpose so they won't be attacked and can farm gold/elixir. There's really nothing remotely competitive about the game because of this, people are abusing the system and making the game worse.
Please tell me if there's some aspect of the game I'm not aware of that makes losing in purpose fun.
Level is quite arbitrary. Basing match making on it would ruin the game.Quote:

Your level reflects the amount of exp you have based on in game accomplishments, so people with similar bases would be battling it out instead of searching for scrubs.
I understand completely the importance of resources, but if saving up resources is supposed to be what's considered fun, instead of winning the resources thru battles (in example), then this game is a total flop.
Like I don't even care how many trophies I have, as long as people with the same amount are near my level and the ones I'm battling with. It's stupid that I have to drop trophies on purpose because the moment I go up a league, guys with Heros and dragons are going to obliterate me.
What im getting at is that there's no point to this game once you reach a certain level. The only time I've been attacked lately was when I had all 3 archers upgrading. People see gold walls and just run away from the battle.

You get 5 exp for donating. For the levels I'm talking about, 5 exp is about as useful as trying to use hand scissors to cut your grass
If you guys think an xp system is so bad, then at the least explain what's supposed to be fun about a game that you just level up to dominate players that are way too easy for you to be playing against.
I want to keep playin this game, but it's just gotten to a point that I have no reason to get on the app other than to watch my resources grow. What's so fun about that?
Wrong. You get 1 exp per troop slot donated. Donate 1 pekka and you get 25 exp. Many folks donate hundreds of troops per season. Some even donate thousands.Quote:

Also there are other problems. People with weak bases could battle each other to the top of the leader board because they would be immune to attack from people with stronger bases. Furthermore, your system doesn't take into account differences in skill, layout, or choice of upgrades.

My thoughts are that moving up the trophy ranks should be based on a good defensive set up and the ability to expend troops wisely to win your attacks. My complaint is that none of that actually matters in this game because people lose on purpose.Quote:

My main complaint is mostly the fact people lose on purpose so they can be in leagues with weak, weak, weak people.

Because theoretically trophies are the sum total of your wins and loses. Take two players with identical bases, however player A is a better attacker than player B. Assuming both player A and player B are trying to win as many trophies as possible, player A should have more trophies than B and should be matched with tougher opponents than player B. Another example is what if player C is terrible, but gems their base granting them a higher level? Now suddenly their game is ruined because they find themselves completely unable to deal with the matches they are now given.Quote:

The matching system would work perfectly if players were better incentivized to gain as many trophies as they possibly could. This means the matching system is fine, and really it's the loot system that is broken.
