Town hall 9: Questions about farming

Hey guys,
I have th9 for almost a month now, i have been thinking about the farming army i have been using...
This is what i use-
16 giants
2 healers
5 wiz
7 wb
24 barbs, 22 arch, 12 gobs, 5 minions

I use these troops cause i think that if i dont find a collector base? Thats why i use healers.. I dont use spells. I use 1 heal spell sometimes.

When i asked people about what troops i should use, everyone says use BAM or BARCH. All the videos on youtube on barch or bam show only show collector bases. My question is if you dont find a collector base? If the loot is in the storages? Does barch and bam work on storage bases? If it does work on collector and storage bases i would like to know how to use it. Do i need spells too? I dont like using spells while farming.
If u use spells then how do you manage the making tiem of spells? Do you have to boost your spell factory?

I want to change my farming army cause the army i am using now (mentioned above) takes 40 minutes to train. I think i am wasting time, and i should use an army like bam or barch....

And i would also know how many troops should i use in each army

i also seldom use spells (i keep all Lightning), and i use the following army:

8 Wallbreakers
8 Giants
and then rest is split 60/40% between Archers & Barbs



doesn't take long to train at all, especially if you boost a barrack or two




first i drop a few barbs wherever i'm planning on attacking from in order to look for traps/bombs, then the giants, followed by some wbs. i then send in waves of barbs and archers.

does this work against bases that have the loot in the storages? If yes, how?

yes - i'm currently using this strategy up in Crystal 1-2 while farming dark elixir.



you need to pick the right base, obviously not one with max x-bows set to ground / infernos / dark elixir all in the core of the base. basically:

1. look for "premature" bases - TH10s with low level walls & defenses
2. look for bases where the storages are relatively close to the edge of the base (first or second layer of walls)
3. basically just use the giants as shields. they should soak up the majority of damage from defenses, and use wbs sparingly in order to push them further into base
4. follow up your giants with barbs & arch, and they should easily get the storages.

Ok, thanks for the advice. Im farming in gold 2 so storage bases wont have too high defenses......

these aren't the greatest raids, but as you can see i attack every ~12 minutes or so, and try to pull in around 1000 DE each raid. i don't really care about trophies.

Thanks for sharing, the loot isnt that great though

as i said, i'm only going for dark elixir. i'll take 600 DE every 12 minutes. so i'll do 3 raids in the time it took you to train your 1 army.

and also, those are just the most recent logs i have. they aren't the best, they aren't the worst. it's just to give you an idea. i'd like to see you break to the core of TH10s with a cheaper army...



EDIT: the three attacks in the second log took me less than 30 minutes, and i got 4,500+ dark elixir. i'll take it lol
