I really like the base. I feel that the gaps by the top elixir storages could use the teslas better. The teslas really aren't needed in the other location. Correct me if I am wrong. I believe the teslas could deal a lot of damage to people going after full elixir storages. Hasn't happened to me yet since I still have elixir building upgrades left, but th8 gets full elixir storages easily if active from I have heard.
Thanks! Yes the tesla's could be used there. And yes they dish out some great damage. But you may not have encountered lvl 6 giants + rage/heal yet. lvl 6 giants are the bane of TH8 and can wreck if they can roam throughout the base. So for this design I chose to mess with giant AI's. I won't explain why the tesla's are there in this post as that is in the design features (Check out that section. It explains a lot) but there is a good reason why the tesla's are put where they are. One of the attacks in the attack logs, the one with maxed giants and heal spells, broke the funneling (Accidentally though I think) and then used heal spells on his giants, that's why he wrecked me. Having the tesla's in the spot behind walls is probably better for barch, or BAM kind of army comps, but that is not really what the design is focused on. Thanks for your input though :). Hopefully when I have more defense logs I can see whether the funneling is actually working or not though because at the moment I only have my knowledge of AI pathing to go off.Quote:

Anyways, nice base! But I'd recommend closing off some compartments to make that huge funnel not as vulnerable.
Also if you make a base but get some do a few noticeable (kind of) big modifications, just rename your thread and add [REVAMPED] to the beginning. This will let people know that your base is way better than before whilst reminding people of the old base's cool features and such.

The base does look a bit like a person :). Hmm yeah I think I get what you are saying about the big funnel on the bottom, but could you elaborate a little please. The big funnel is to try to move giants well away from the squishy troops as well as take some out along the way with spring traps. If the funnel was closed though, I'm also not sure if the giants would go round the base still, or into the centre. I understand it weakens the base a bit, but I find that lvl 6 giants are too powerful to try to kill just with straight damage.Quote:

Thread Update: The OP has been updated to include 2 new possible fixes for the problems with the base in it's defensive losses. Please comment on the viability of these as well as the main design!
Personally, I am okay with max giants mowing through the base because of the cost and profit based of it. Plus, the loot penalty with help and make th8 attacks more frequent than th9 attacks. I use enough elixir to make a th9 attack obsolete. I would think if a barch got past the walls, the teslas would prevent more loot stolen. Maybe I am wrong. Only tests will tell.Quote:

Not sure what you mean by the cost and profit sorry :). Since the loot penalty is only 10%, it's not much difference, and if you have a lot of loot expect to be attacked by a TH8 OR TH9. Yes Tesla's would probably protect better against barch if they were in the walls. However if you look at my def logs (Including a new one which is going up with this post) all the ones where I have a lost significant resources are vs-ing lvl 6 giants, not barch. Yes testing would need to be conducted, but someone would have to barch me in the first place to observe it :p.Quote:
