The best strategy would be loon and minions They r also the coolest troops in the army if I might add #loonsftwQuote:

I only got to 2822 as TH9, some time ago now, but yeah I believe balloons and minions (and gems) is about your only decent shot, and you will be picking off 1-star wins through Masters, boosting at least your spell factory (spent some of those thousand gems). When I got to M2, I found it hard to make loot, but I'd say I flat-lined, rather than ran dry (I dropped, because it was too much hard work and I still wanted to keep upgrades going).
You could get to Masters easily enough using plenty of other armies, but personally I'd say you want to get as much practice in using balloons as possible, so start off the way you intend to continue. In particular, getting 1 star vs maxed TH10 bases requires a lot of skill, I've been ballooning for months off and on and I still mess up against the toughest bases (although I'm now a TH10 farming, so use minimal spells).
Of course you could just TH-snipe your way there, like a TH6 did recently (wizards and healing spells), but I'd assume you want something that's a little bit faster and more reliable... hence, balloons. But you'll still need a heck of a lot of patience, and gems for spell factory, it's not easy, even most TH10 struggle once they get over around 2800.
hogs, dragons, minions, wizards, wb anything from that combo will make a good raider :)
Balloon/Dragon. Longer time than Balloonion but more helpful for trophy push.
