Fill your cc with own troops for a gem price

This is actually a novel idea that might work hmmmm.

This defeats the purpose of a clan castle. Might as well add 20 spaces to your army camps instead of allowing this. Clan castles are meant to encourage the social aspect of the game, clans.

I see your point but I don't think it does at all. Even hardcore gemmers don't gem non stop. The social aspect is too key. I don't think this will come close to replacing it IMO. Unless they make it really cheap which I highly doubt they would do. It would need to be cost prohibitive, but usable in a pinch.

And it certainly isn't like adding 20 spaces in army camps. Just because I gemmed to put them there myself doesn't mean I have extra troop capacity anywhere.

Can troops is a benefit of being in a clan. When you no longer need a clan for this benefit, it no longer becomes a benefit of being in a clan.

I'm not opposed to the idea, doesn't bother me if you fill your own castles, especially for gems. Just doesn't seem like a likely item they'll dedicate resources to anytime soon.

No 1 gem per space would be too cheap. Maybe 5. So a cc with 30 spaces would cost you 150 gems.
