Help! Battle strategy after new CoC update...

Ever since the new update, the usual battle strategy that I use no longer works anymore. I noticed that my troops no longer goes the same directions. For example, I use a wallbreaker to break through the walls and send in my giants first and then I will deploy my wizards. In the PAST, my wizards will follow behind my giants. But with the new update, my wizards no longer follow my giants, but instead go around the outer side of my enemy's base.

I have read that things are no longer the same for attacks ever since the new update. But what exactly is affecting the attacking troops?

Someone please help!

you need to clear the outside buildings (assuming that they are closest to the wizards), otherwise your troops will target those instead of heading inside the base.



i do not think this is due to the update though! just make sure you clear a path for your troops by taking out a few of the outer buildings (basically, if the building closest to your troops is on the outside, your troops will be distracted by those)​. hope that helps!

If your wizards are doing the walk around the base thats because you haven't cleared enough trash on the sides.
take out the mines, pumps, barracks on one side then deploy them behind the giants.

few archers max range on trash then giants, wallbreakers wait a sec then wizards.

But I have never encountered such situations before. Even with buildings near my troops, they never deviate and instead, still attack in the same direction. They don't walk around the base on the outside. =/

Try to deploy them as close to the wall as possible. Too far out and they will go to the easiest building instead.
