Always have them training. Find an open layout. Get 50%. Repeat a lot
You just lay down a row of barbs and then follow that with a row of archers. Spread out around the base and use to take out 50% of base. You might take a few Wb in case your need to bust open a wall to get all of the 50%.

I'm a TH8 crystal 3, and I got there using 108-115 archers, 80-84 barbs, and 4 wbs. The barbs tank more than enough, and are pretty useless once all perimeter defenses are taken out, which is why I used 65% archers. Use the wbs to break into areas with extra resources. Good luck bud
