An Eery Incident (Enjoy the Story)
OK, so we had a rather eery incident just earlier, and I thought to share it with you all! This post could fit under the Clan folder for clan-infiltration, it could fit under Off-Topic (for its goofiness), but I decided to start it here in General, to showcase the fun we can all have in the game... which has been and always been my mantra. :)
Bear with me, as I tell this story...
So, we had a relaively new member, a lvl 75 chap named Snacker, a rather droll UK fella. And one day, a level 44 fella named Devin applied to our clan (even though we are 60+ min) and said in his application msg that Snacker is underage (we require 18+). So I accepted him and asked him, "How do you know that Snacker is underage?" And he replied that Snacker was saying his age on global and bragging about sneaking past our age-filters...
So, I ignored him as I was comfortable that Snacker was indeed over age. But then the next day, a level 68 Jordan applied to our clan, and in his message, he wrote that a clan member of ours, a level 64 Jordan (ironically, the same name, but also a new member) was also underage.
Haha, a pattern, two different people pinging and alleging that clan members were underage. I shrugged this off, but then...
Then this is then where it gets really rather odd. Devin started applying, and in his application msg, he started typing whatever Snacker had just written seconds before. So, obviously, he was an alt of someone in the clan. Was he Snacker's alt and was he targeting himself? Was Devin an alt of Jordan lvl 64? But, why would a lvl 68 Jordan try to get the lvl 64 Jordan kicked out?
So, even more wacky, the two alleging outsiders, lvl 68 Jordan and Devin, both applied to our clans at the same time. So, I accepted those two, and Snacker and level 64 Jordan were both in. So, we had a crazy conversation of a four way cross-allegation of who was whose alt and who was underage.
Ultimately, it was clear, haha, that someone in the clan was playing a prank as Devin could not have typed in-clan chat comments into his application message. And further, people outside the clan were playing a prank, or worse, in targeting Jordan and Snacker. But, who was the in-clan spy or goofhead? Hmm, hmm.
It was perhaps one of the most unusual clan chats, with the weird echos of comments into the application messages.... Anyways, wanted to share this with you all!
We had fun! And whoever came up with strategy, kudos to you... I guess it can be construed as a form of clash of clans. Long live spies and ninjas.
