Yeah, I agree so i only use nets now. BUT I will also say that during a fishing event, it is lots of fun to try to catch the event fish. There is a thread with tricks of the trade and its thrilling when you catch a whopper!
Fishing is really the only aspect of the game I'm not overjoyed with, lol. I don't mind the nets, but I haven't the patience for the fishing with lures. Odd, since I really like the menial tasks of the rest of the game, lol. I really enjoy just collecting, harvesting, planting, etc.
Fishing has always been a chore for me, never liked it, don't care about catching new fish. Even getting diamonds for fish doesn't tempt me.
The one thing that has become a bit of a drag for me is filling up my rss. Since I don't need the coins so much any more I usually don't do it until my barn starts to fill up. However I will continue to fill it up regularly for two reasons: the care and feeding of friends and followers since they are so good and quick to help me with my boat, and because I want to help plump up listings in the DD since I think its health and vitality is very important to game play. I don't place an ad every time I fill my rss, but I do make an effort to put good items in the DD several times a day.
I find planting and harvesting crops to be a chore these days. Especially first thing in the morning, when everything needs to be harvested.
(I do it row by row, rather than mowing down everything, because it makes it easier to remember what to plant where. There are so many crops now that I have trouble remembering them all.)
Picking up townies can be very time intensive (and involves a LOT of tapping).
I follow 2 simple steps:
1) Browse all my neighbors towns and take note of the ones with most townies.
2) Choose the "winner" townies between the finalists preselected on the previous step. :)
BUT:
* Any mystery box present in any of the towns involved must and WILL be tapped :rolleyes:
* If I get diamonds from an unlocked box, I begin an endless loop, visiting any town, trying to get more free diamonds. The loop ends only after finding a prize. * After a loop has ended, I (of course) don't remember which of my neighbors had the most townies (and who cares, I got at least 8 diamonds!), so I have to go back to step 1 again.
Is and I am sure it will always be fishing. The town is a close 2nd:rolleyes:.
