Most of them are probably raising cash...hire Tom to fetch them for cheap, sell them at max. I did it once when I needed the money and wouldn't hesitate doing it again!
Jewelry orders are rarer now, for some reason.
I've also experienced a lower number of blue truck orders recently, and the ones I get are almost always for ore. Been a long time since I've seen an order for diamond rings OR the new bracelets.
I have about 50 or so rings I'm hanging onto, but I've stopped buying them when I see them in the DD now.
SC changed something, and now diamond rings are flooding the newspaper. They used to be quite rare. Now I see hundreds a day.
I don't believe that it's just people who suddenly need coins. We've had updates before that introduced new items you needed to buy with coins, and they never resulted in a flood of diamond rings.
One possibility is the new jewelry. We now have iron bracelets. If they introduced a new jewelry item while not increasing the number of jewelry orders, then there will be fewer orders for the old jewelry items.
So why so many diamond rings, and not bracelets and necklaces, too?
The personal train in the town. It takes metal bars to upgrade, so people are using their metal bars on the train, not to make jewelry.
Why are diamond rings not affected? Because people generally don't produce them. They cost a diamond. I suspect most of the rings that enter the game do so through Tom, not the jeweler.
After a quiet spell, I am now getting three orders for jewellery including diamond rings regularly on each refresh of the Truck board but getting mainly green vouchers.
Maybe people are needing more coins these days.
They hired tom and get tings from them, sell at max.
I have a 100 rings and a see 100 rings daily in dd. I have stopped buying them.
Yes, as others said, I also have reduced jewelry orders these days.
At this moment, there are 150 Diamond rings in my Shop. The jewellery orders are Rarer now so its useless to fill my barn with them, so i get rid of them and also get Cash haha
This is happening to me as well. A few more jewelry orders, some mixed, mostly for bracelets. Have received mainly green vouchers, no matter what the coin value of the order, a few blue, but so far no purple or gold. Orders for diamond rings are far and few between.Quote:

Since the Town update those have only rarely produced anything over a green voucher so definitely not worth it to me. Yeah I've seen only 2 orders for diamond rings since the last update - and i rip them down constantly!
