I don't know how to attack anymore. Doomed to fail...

Hi.

I've been playing Clash of Clans since the start of the game, I don't use gems so my village is not maxed out, but with level 3 inferno towers and stuff I feel quite safe. However, with the recent updates on attacking, Heroes and wars I've realized that none of my attacking strategies work anymore. With Hog Raiders I can get usually just one star in war map. With giants and new jump spell I got nothing.

People make villages on wars these days that are simply WAY harder than any I've come across before on normal attacks. It always takes AGES to lure out the CC troops and usually I have to waste a lot of troops or lightning spell and some troops on killing them. Luring them out takes also a lot of troops, which these days is mostly not even possible.

Even Town Hall 9's are mostly way too hard. I need some advice. What to do? I'm seriously on the verge of quitting this game, because it's not fun anymore when you can't beat anyone. I have no idea what troops to use, all the "old tactics" simply fail everytime.

Im only TH9 but ive read enough.

GOWIWI, GOWIPE, Balloonion do me well..

Hogs aren't going to work on TH 9 with high level defenses or TH 10s with Infernos. Expand your raiding ability to different strategies. Loonion is only good for one star, two if you're lucky or on a weak base. GoWiWi and GoWiPe are great for 2 stars, but GoWiWi is probably the more consistent one once mastered (though more Dark Elixir-intensive than GoWiPe and probably a higher training time).

Even with the most recent updates Valkyries can be used in conjunction with the new Jump Spell, and Hog Riders are still viable on pretty much any TH 8 base and lower TH 9s.

Don't blame the game, look at your strategy and adapt.

Adapt or perish (+1 for anyone who knows the reference).

I dun understand what this about the new jump spell...I got 10 valks right infront of a jump spell...only 2 went jumping, 4 went to the right and 4 went to the left totally ignoring the jump spell...lol

The new jump spell opens a path or in other words "remove the walls temporarily" troops will not follow the spell if buildings are nearer compared to the one behind the magic walls.

For the thread maker. Just watch and learn from other players or Please leave your collectors and storage outside when you leave :D:D:D

but, whats so new about it? the previous jump spell did the same...and had a bigger coverage

The first guy replied without reading my full post, such replies are useless as they provide nothing for me. I stated I've tried all of the "old" attack strategies, that includes gowiwi, balloons and stuff. None of them work..

I want to know how do I raid a maxed out village. I've honestly got no idea, but at least Gowiwi doesn't work for me. Haven't tried out Gowipe yet, any videos on that?

Your situation is similar to mine, I have decided to decrease my cup from master 3 to gold one, here i may have the chance to learn how to attack effectively and what composition to use. Most of the time I close my eyes and deploy all the troops ignoring CC troops and even heroes.

You shouldn't be looking to 3 star maxed out TH 9s or 10s. That is near impossible with any strategy unless xbows and infernos arent loaded and there's no traps up, and even then you'd have to execute flawlessly.

2 star or 1 star is what you look for when you're taking on maxed out bases. Watch some high level gameplay on youtube.

The gameplay has changed...cant learn much from YouTube now.

Those bases that you 3 star with your best effort with hogs....now...you can only get 2 stars.

You can attack lower bases with hogs to get 3 stars in clan war, but your mates at the bottom will be furious with you if yo are high level attacking much lower ones...

Getting 2 stars from a Max base aint difficult. But 3 stars is something else.

So now comes to the question, how do you 3 star the bases you previous 3 star effortlessly with hogs (within your means)?

I tried lots....Hogs...2 stars...balloons...2 stars...i havent tried drags yet but seriously...

One combination i tried that easily gets 60-70% is Giant Wiz healer Valk combo....but my Valks are lvl1. And i've seen a raider attacked my clan member with max valk getting 3 stars...so, i guess, i need to upgrade mine to know the full potential of the valks
