abandoned bases are a different matter. I run into a few if I do about 15 atks that day, which means a lot of searching. I cant imagine how much u have to search to only look for an abandoned base. There are times when I search and use 40K gold just to find a target to hit, let alone an abandoned village.
You'd actually be surprised how much loot I make everyday. Doing 20-30 attacks a day, I can make up to 2 million Gold and Elixir. And yes, I admit, I do spend like 40,000 Gold to find raids sometimes, but it's definitley very easy to make up that money. If I were to find an abandoned base with 200k of each and spend 40,000 Gold trying to find it, I'd still be making 160k Gold and about 180k Elixir subtracting troop costs. Anyway, I hate to break it to you, but it usually only takes me about 10 to 20k Gold to find an abandoned base with good loot. I don't know what trophy range you're in, but if it's taking you THAT long to find a good base on AVERAGE, then you're obviously not in the right one. Anyway, If your using Giants and Wall Breakers in your troop composition, then your training costs must be sky high for a farming strategy, meaning you're not making much Elixir. On top of that, the amount of loot that can be found in the storages is usually a lot less, because most of the time, you only see bases with about 100 to 150k of each. Unless you're farming, however, but in that case the loot is the main priority in protection, so it is harder to reach. So you would need a strong army to breach the storages, which means you are spending once again a lot of money on troops. And these troops would also take a long time to train. Like I said in my first post, my troop composition only takes about 20 minutes, so if you think about it, with my troop costs, searching costs, training time, and searching time, I'm making about 180k of each every 22 to 25 minutes which is pretty darn good. And by the way, I'm not trying to say your strategy is bad, I'm just trying to defend my strategy from you saying it basically sucks. Anyway, thanks for reading.

I like your base a lot! Especially for a Town Hall 7, because it is very hard to guard everything. Anyway, what I would suggest is switching your Wizard Towers with your 2 lower Mortars. This will allow your Mortars to cover more of the base and your Wizard Towers to cover your Town Hall. The only other flaw I can think of (every Town Hall 7 has atleast one flaw) is that your Clan Castle and Barbarian King are easy to destroy without having to work into the base that much. Anyway, awesome base and I hope it works out for you!
I've been spending a lot of time trying to trophy push a little because a buddy and I are starting a new clan due to our current one being very stingey with the troop donations. So I want to push to attract potential clan mates in global (everyone knows crystal 3 and higher gets a ton of attention in global chat.)So I'm in a pickle, trying to barch with a almost maxed th 7, maxed troops but I still find it hard to attack these bases in gold 2 which seem to be mostly at least mid 8th.
I'm working on a solid BARCH strategy that garuntee a me 50%. I find myself really focusing on that 50% to make sure I don't lose trophies but when I do that I usually miss out on a lot of loot, although the composition is extremely cheap (all level 4 troops and lvl 4 spells) the last couple battles I've got 45% with 300k elixer. So frustrating. I can't even lightning the kings square or a builder hut.
What's a good trophy range for loot?
You clearly do not know how to farm if you dont think you can regularly barch th9s gor 200k/200k. Your army composition is inefficient for farming btw.Quote:

I want you to know that I also pushed to Crystal 2 when I was Town Hall 7. It may take a while to BARCH there, but you'll do it eventually. If you're still going for loot while BARCHing, then I would put that on hold. BARCH may be an easy strategy for Farming, but Pushing is another story. It will take practice, so from now up to Gold 1, you should do your best base to find bases on the easier side so you get used to it. I also reccommend maxing out your Army Camps if you haven't yet, because each and every troop counts. Make sure to first use a couple Archers to take out buildings that are not covered by defences. These are EASY percent points. Also, while you're searching for bases and you see Farmers with their Town Hall on the outside, don't feel guilty for sniping it. Everyone does it (Mostly everyone) and only benefits both you AND the Farmer. Not only is it easy trophies, but you also don't have to train a whole army again. By the way, do your best to BARCH 10 to 20 times a day to get a good amount of trophies. Once you reach Crystal, you'll find that since the bases are no longer getting harder (because you're not increasing trophies) it will be easy to maintain your trophy level, and you can once again start going for loot.
