I am a Th7 and looking to convert to balloonion instead of using my giant-healer strategy. Will it be more effective.
Also, I currently have lvl 3 balloons and lvl 1 minions. I am also upgrading my spell factory soon for rage spells. What level to balloons, minions, and spells do you think I should have to use balloonion? I am at around 1100 trophies and looking to push to around 1500 for the Dark Elixir.
At TH7 I wouldn't call balloonions a strong option, but it's a viable one, and it's one I recently used to get 10K DE for my BK :)
You most definitely want to max out your balloons, at lvl 4. Hold off a while on minion upgrades; they're not nearly as important as they're for cleanup. Unlike Balloons lvl 6, at lvl 4 and 5 I find heal spells way more effective. The red balloons are seriously lightweights - to sustain fire from wiz towers the heal is great. Plus you will be fighting bases with very weak air defence, so lvl 4 AD and below you can out heal it.
I've been running anywhere from 1350-1650 cups, with 3 heals, 28 balloons and the rest minions, looking for bases with 700+ DE, and very weak, very exposed, or upgrading air defense. Watch out for the clan castle.

Also, can balloonion get to a DE storage in the middle of a Th7 base? Are there any videos to show how this is done?
Balloonian is possible MAYBE at level 4 balloons. But becomes really successful at level 5 and best with level 6 balloons. Minion level doesn't matter as much but does help. If you want to use this strategy then I would suggest to reach your max level for balloons and minions at TH 7.
with that being said, there are better ways to trophy push at 1100 trophies than balloonian IMO esp. As a Th7. Giant healer is good until 1400-1500, but you can also barch your way up and snipe town halls if you want a higher trophy count.
getting good at BAM is also recommended for looting purposes and can be utilized for trophy pushing. The key to trophy pushing is using a fast cheap army. That way you can attack multiple times in one session.

If you're dying to get de, upgrade your Lightning Spell, Barbs and Archers and BARCH your way up to crystal3. Then zap DE storages. LOL ;)
lightning spells take forever to make tho, and it is very inefficient. I tried doing this on my friend's account, took me days to get 7.5k DE, and in the end he let me gem his barb king :)
It can get into some central DE storages, not all. Base selection is the key.
If there are just a few Air Defense/Wiz Twr protecting the DE, yes, you can knock those out, with your balloons and heal spell. Then minions come in and rake in the DE. If there are multiple high level AD or up xbows or many wiz towers, it won't happen. There are tons of Balloonion videos on YouTube, they tend to focus on hitting central Town Hall but it's an identical procedure. One of the best Ballooion guides on the forums that I have seen is in a thread on maxxing TH9 - but it's good advice and videos for any th level.
Balloonion with heal or giant-wb-gob smash and grab army with heal and a rage for goblins is WAY more efficient than lightning. I've used both at TH7 and can easily get 800-2000 DE per hour with those.
Do not use rage spells with balloonion. (IMO) Balloons will get grouped together, so it doesn't help if they have a damage increase because they take out most towers in one hit already, use heal spells. I've seen so many nooby balloonion attacks where they use rage spells and a wiz tower takes all of their balloons, cause they weren't using heal spells. I like to barch mainly for gold and elixir, not dark elixir. But using barch I have gotten many 500 - 1000 dark elixir raids, by finding inactives and getting their mines, collectors, and pumps. If you're th7 try Silver 1 to Gold 3, and if you're th8 try Gold 2
Really? Almost all of the instructional videos I've seen suggest rage --- as a TH8 I've only used balloonion a couple of times and it was with 3 rages. Maybe I'll see what happens with heal instead. BTW, with balloonian (miniball) I target 8s, 9s and weak 10s.Quote:
