it is summertime and people are going on vacation and not able to participate in the war but there might be other clan members at bottom of list who did not make "the cut" who would be able to participate if you were able to click a button and opt outvof the next clan war. it would be similar to someone joining the clan after preparation day has begun and they become spectators even if they are high up on the list.
