How to save DE up for the AQ

Hey there fellow clashers, i got my TH9 two days ago and I want the AQ really bad, the thing is i have 12k DE at the moment and i think that as soon as i'll start to raid for it and get above 20k i'll get attacked for it badly, so i got this question, How did you guys save up the DE for the AQ and what ranges and tactics did you use?

Note: please don't say buy a pack of 2000 gems.

To be honest i got to about 35k de and gemmed the remaining 5k :( I ran into the same problem that you're having. But I only had level 1 drills back then. Both of my drills are level 4 now and I am getting dark elixir much faster now. You could also try farming around 1800 trophies for dark elixir and commit several hours to raid nonstop to get your 40k. (Dark elixir is more abundant the higher you go in trophies) Anyway I hope this helps!

I did the exact same thing...got very close to AQ and gemmed the rest cause i couldnt stand people lighting me for 2k a pop.

Dbas is correct, raise your trophy level and you will see more DE...give it time, as your raid more, your DE will keep rising. Im not even hunting DE and i have 26k. Took less than 4 days.

ok and how much is high?, at the moment i'm at 1550, and how much did you guys gem and how much gems did that cost, i'm having 160 gems available and won't buy any.

Above 1600 is what worked for me, but im TH8

Also...it would be easier to get the 40k DE at TH8, before you went to 9..that's what I'm going to be doing!
less penalty, and less TH7's raiding it all.

I started saving for it a week before my TH9 finished :) Luckily no one did the old lightning trick on me

Farm DE at 1600+ trophies

simple way to prevent lightning is to upgrade your DE storage..

As said before, the best solution is to UG your DE storage. I believe with a lvl 6 DE storage and 4 maxed light attacks the most anyone could get would be is somewhere around 1100.

try moving up to 2000 trophies as DE is not as much of a commodity in that level, to be honest, though I did want to have an Archer Queen, I didn't go berserk looting for the required DE, the DE just accumulated in due time
