Just wanted to show one of the strategies that the Black Juice Clan has used in war, have someone join and scout your base:

Just letting people out there know about one of their war strategies so you don't fall victim to it. They also list out some of the main strategies they use at BlackJuiceClan.com .
Why did you accept him? Why didn't you check before rather than after?
When we go to war our clan gets closed. No one goes in or out. Well maybe out to try to get into their clan but no one come in.

Actually, all you have to do is never accept anyone who has an "eligible for next war in xxxx" timer going. You won't get spies, and reduce the likelihood of admitting jerks who bail on their clans in the middle of a war.
Many times they aren't scouting your bases, but are just curious what you are saying about them in your chat. I have "spied" on the other clan plenty of times, but never even bothered to look at their bases. I just wanted to see if they were talking about us.

They did with my clan for a war we were not serious about. They even post screenshots on their website. They also post their recommended bases so you know where their traps are
spying is part of a war since wwI.more dirtier,more effective!

If you don't have what it takes to win the war, then why bother start one in the beginning? Like previous post has responded, this is a classic example of naming and blaming. If you feel bad about losing the war, it wouldn't make you feel much better by bashing other clan. Now, that is a rude thing to do.

P.S. : When I joined the your clan to spy, I was being very polite, even though I was your enemy. Now, that's a courtesy. I could have left some demeaning messages on your clan chat, but I chose not to. Just FYI.

definitely dirty, but not below the belt. though i would draw the line at donating troops to enemy cc's. spying is one thing. sabotage is another.
i got a chuckle out of this thread.
I learned that I cannot accept any new applicants during a war which is sad because maybe we're the perfect fit for someone, we and they are going to miss out all because some clans have to resort to something like this.
