A few questions regarding trophies
So if it is true that trophies are gained, and lost, through a direct redistribution between players (i.e. you only lose as much as your opponent wins and vice versa), and it is also true that you begin the game with no trophies, how is it possible that new trophies are added into the game? If everyone started this game with no trophies how did anyone manage to gain any?
I understand that "If you have 0 trophies you can't lose any more trophies from losing attacks, either on you, or by you. This is how trophies are added into the game as when you win a battle you are guaranteed to gain at least 1 trophy." but can it be possible that every single trophy in the game comes from the single trophy each player generates when moving from 0 to 1? This doesn't seem quite right to me as this would have to mean that there is a super high quit rate like 1 in every 2,000 players doesn't quit (facilitating people having the ability to attain thousands of cups).
So is there some other mechanic going on that we don't know about or have I missed something? If I am right this'd mean that as more players join the game the highest achievable trophy count would decrease as the ratio between available trophies and active players would leave relatively fewer trophies to distribute between players (unless all new players stick to their single trophy).
Mah brain went sploody...
Short version:
Everyone started with 0 trophies
now heres the bonker part:
You can get trophies by attacking other players.
if you win, you get their trophies....or.... If you lose, they get your trophies so....
where the fork do the first players of clash of clan get their trophies if they started at 0 and trophies can only be obtained via online attacking
