Its all about target selection, you will probably fail at first but you get a feel for what is achievable with the army and spells that you have trained.Quote:

You can use the same attack strategy if you are taking exposed gold storages, you just need to select the right base. Using the giants/loons to shield higher DPS troops for long enough to take what you are after.
I am not saying its easy to farm TH10's, I skip loads of bases that I would never attempt, but its not really going to get much easier by going to TH10 yourself and as others have said you lose all the TH8 targets.
When I was early TH9 I focused on gold, farming in Gold 1 where its predominantly TH8 & 9's, once your lab is more advanced you can start taking on tougher opponents.
