Can't link device

Hey everyone sorry if this is the wrong sub-forum but I wasn't sure which one to put it in.
My problem is I cant link my brothers lvl70 th8 coc account to another apple device, the current village is on an iphone 4. The device I am trying to link it to has ios6 and has a cracked screen so I cant use a small portion of the bottom right corner. This means I cannot click the 'me' tab in the gamecentre app to sign in to the gc account that has my other village on it.

I have tried using the link tab because I cant log into gc and using the code to link the devices but an error message occurs along the lines of 'village is th4 and purchases may have been made so the devices cannot be linked'.
Any help would be great and I've been trying for ages! Thanks!

Don't worry guys I figured it out, I restored the ipod and went from there and it all worked out.
