barch is cheap....( i forgot to mention I also use a bunch of goblins, with no spells) but i tend to lose trophies against well upgraded bases, which I don't mind as long as I get the loot that I'm after.

If I farm in masters or higher I will use a much stronger armies and spells to be able to maintain...

They added more content to the game it makes it more in depth and fun

I hit Champ the 2nd week I was in TH 10 & have only continued climbing higher & higher ever since...

...oh, and did I mention that I also maxed out my TH10 defences as well as my elixir upgrades while I was there?

Oh, and a few hero levels too...

...ooo ooo ooo... and all the new tesla upgrades & the L5 PEKKA too. :rolleyes:

(Granted, I start boosting all my collectors when I hit 3700K trophies
to offset the fact that I only get to raid 3-6 times / 6 H session,
but you don't have to climb thaaaaat high :) )

That is true, but the OP mentioned that his dreams of trophy hunting were shattered
by needing to farm another round of upgrades
- we are merely reminding him that farming never really ends
& if you truly want to wait till you are completely maxed out to start, well... :rolleyes:

Irrespective of how many new defensive upgrades come out,
I won't be dropping under 3200 anytime soon. ;)

Depends on your strategy.

I've seen plenty of people "Spray & Pray" with their loons, normally using 4 x Rage and 1 x Lightning. It can get the job done but costs a pretty penny in both resources and time.
